The attorney of the only named suspect in the disappearance of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn has issued a statement that says law enforcement isn't interested in cooperation in the case.
A letter from attorney C. Barrett Thomas of Abilene says Shawn Adkins has continued to speak with law enforcement despite the attorney's advice. Thomas says Adkins believes in his heart that cooperation is the "key to solving Hailey's disappearance."

Billie Dunn's Attorney Speaks Out
He's only been on the job for a few days, but he has plenty to say about the situation facing the mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn.
Young is also representing Dunn in anything that's related to the search for Hailey and it's a move he wishes she would've done a long time ago.
Young said Billie wasn't ready for all the media attention that only intensified after she lied to police about where her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, actually was.
"Some in law enforcement had suggested strongly to Billie that any association with Shawn Adkins was going to be considered evidence of guilt," Young said. "Sometimes matters of the heart are hard to break. She got scared and she said he's not here."
[B]"They were seen together in Snyder," Young said.[/B] "Well both of them have family in Snyder. They may have been in Snyder at the same time that doesn't necessarily follow that they were together."
"It is a logically false premise that because you love someone and he's a suspect you therefore are guilty," Young said.
Dunn's attorney said the charge of possessing a dangerous drug is being looked into. Young said that drug was actually a muscle relaxer and Dunn does have a prescription for it, but right now he is working to confirm the history of that prescription.

Fort Hood Soldiers, family members help search for missing Texas girl
Three months ago Hailey Dunn vanished from Colorado City, seemingly without a trace. Initially, volunteers poured into the town to help search for the 13-year-old cheerleader, but as days turned to weeks and then months, the number of volunteers dwindled.
When Misty Moody, who grew up in Colorado City and still has contacts in the West Texas town, heard of the stalled search efforts, she knew she and her husband, Sgt. Brian Moody, could help. The Moodys shared their proposal to join in the search effort with Soldiers and spouses in the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Missile Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, who responded with full support.
“My husband mentioned it to the guys here, and within two days, we had 28 people,” Misty said. The volunteers included Soldiers and spouses who traveled to West Texas the first weekend in March to take part in a search for the missing teen.
The dedication of the group also drew the attention of members of Hailey’s family. Misty said the group received a phone call from Hailey’s father, Clint Dunn, after the first search.
“He called and personally thanked us,” she said.

Hailey's father says the three-month mark only makes him more determined to search.
"I want to thank everybody that's still supporting this and still has hope for Hailey," said Clint Dunn, Hailey's father. "I'm just spreading the word. I'm trying to get it out of Texas and out to states, and I'm trying to spread awareness."
Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother, said she could not speak to the media on camera because her lawyer wasn't present. However, she said she could speak off-camera and told KTXS News that another candlelight vigil will be held at the six-month mark of her disappearance.

A news conference is set for Wednesday morning in Colorado City related to the Hailey Dunn case. Colorado City's City Manager Pete Kampfer has called 11:00 a.m. news conference. (speculated that it will be about the reward and not necessarily the investigation)

Colorado city manager says since Dunns arrest it has been tougher to investigated the girls disappearance. "Once persons have been arrested and have been charged arraigned or bonded once they receive counsel our relationship diminishes," Colorado City Manager Pete Kampfer went on to say a press conference is scheduled Wednesday to talk about reward money for information about Hailey Dunn's disappearance.
