I don't know what to think of Anders

He probably had nothing to do with the murder even though it's creepy that he had child on his computer and lived in a house with children. He was just found out with the because of the investigation. Good thing, imo.

I think if Anders is involved, Shawn Arender will soon be singing.

I just don't comprehend child . How do these pervs think like that? Children are so precious and innocent, I just can't understand how people actually do this. Why not get a significant other or watch adult ?

Wow! This is some development! I was totally wrong...I thought, for sure, it was the boyfriend! With the child , plus the fact that in the 911 call he asking the mother to do him a favor and say certain things or that he made forced Dana sleep downstairs when everyone else was downstairs just seemed suspicious. It's very sad that this young girl died, but I guess it was a good thing that they discovered the child on the boyfriend's computer since he was living with young children.

I doubt this is the special needs boy up the road that Anders referred to in the 911 call. This guy doesn't look or sound like he has a disability, other than his propensity to commit crimes. Plus, I'm sure the police would have questioned or looked into the troubled/special needs child that Anders fingered in the 911 call, even if they thought Anders did it, just to be comprehensive in their investigation. From the article, it looks as if this neighbor wasn't even on the investigator's radar screen as beingd involved...and it was only the DNA match that revealed him.

I agree, I think he/Anders was/is hiding something. Hannah was so beautiful and to think of the terror she endured. I just pray that God took her before she suffered too badly.

The following Houston, Texas link has a paragraph that I don't understand:???

"According to the affidavit, Hannah's body was nude from the waist down when police arrived at the family's home.

The defendant was then and there in the course of committing or attempting to commit the offense of aggravated sexual assault against Hanna Mack," read the affidavit.

September 28, 2007)--Navarro County authorities said Friday they’ve arrested Shaun Earl Arender 19, in the sexual assault and murder of 6-year-old Hanna Mack.
Arender was in the Navarro County Jail on unrelated burglary and drug possession charges when the capital murder warrant was served, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mike Cox said Friday.
iHe lives less than a mile from the murdered girl’s home, Cox said.
The arrest came after DNA collected from the crime scene produced a positive match in the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System or CODIS on Wednesday.
When investigators questioned Arender later that day, the suspect wouldn’t make a statement, “but put his head on the table and cried,” according to an affidavit released Friday.
Arender's bond was set at $2.5 million.

I wondered the same thing Taximom. Anders did not want something known and he sure was quick to ask someone not to tell something on the 911 call. I have to wonder if he didn't have something to do with it just because of what the children asked him.Why did we have to sleep upstairs? Hannah was scared. It's on the 911 tape.

tiredblondy, I saw your comment about raising your adopted daughter and the trauma she went through. I'm glad you came into her life because she could be so much more worse off if you hadn't. :blowkiss:

I was absolutely sick when I heard about Hannah, and feel the same about Madison too. I'm glad one of them lived, but it will be rough, that's for sure.

He can be MR and be very high functioning. I work with the special needs consumers and some of them appear very normal. Those with an IQ of borderline MR (65 to 70) can function without being noticeably different. I don't know that Shaun is MR...but he is definately MH... and a at that.. Do I think Anders set him up, No I do not. Do I think Shaun was often a guest in the home of Hanna and her sisters, yes I do. He was asked to leave the night before the murders... he was there to carry out his sick fantasy... and in the process get revenge for being asked to leave (IMO).. and he went too far and killed this dear sweet little girl, and tried to cover it up by hanging her. SICK

According to one sister, the little girl was allowed to sleep downstairs on the couch so she would feel safer.
