He was there because he lives there. He is Hanna's mom's boyfriend.

Word is they had only lived at this location a few months and there had been previous allegations of sexual abuse. None of this confirmed by LE so far.

I still think that "suicide " headline was more than just a mistake. I wouldn't be surprized if we find out that this pervert tried to suggest to the mom that she report it as a suicide when she called 911. !

Yes, I can see that. Since her teacher had reported an earlier suspected sexual abuse, he probably has been doing this for some time. Well, I guess I shouldn't assume. Do we know how long they've been "dating"????

I don't know if it was the same guy, but man it sure does seem strange that a 6-year old could have this happen twice in her short life by two different men. Makes me think of all sorts of questions I need answers to. I don't want to assume anything though because the mom seems just devastated. I hate always being the "heavy" and assigning blame, so I'm just thinking out loud without offering anything more at this time.

I don't know the answers to that... just that they had been together almost or just over a year. I got that from my boss who knows the family.

I agree. Some time ago, I brought up the issue of live-in boyfriends molesting and killing children and I was roundly criticized for saying such a thing. I stand by my previous remarks about these mothers having a duty to their children first and foremost.

I'm sure this poor excuse for a man has been abusing children for many years. You don't start out normal and turn into a pedofile when you hit 30.

How much you wanna bet his estranged wife was a teenager when he first got her pregnant and then left him when he started abusing the baby? Poor thing is probably a victim herself, but if she knew he was like this and never turned him in to the law she missed an opportunity to prevent this happening to Hanna and others. Sad.

That's why this thread is making my head spin right now... I am not used to this from posters on Websleuths. In NO WAY am I defending this guy, IMO just the child is enough to lock him up for life, but it's been a long time since I've seen everyone so collectively jump on a 'person of interest' because apparently everyone thinks he got arrested for what happened to the girl.... which he didn't (get arrested for). Yet. Eh, never mind....

I don't see how a woman who lives with a man cannot know what he views on the computer! Surely she had a clue! If a woman has an inkling, she should go under history and see what he's been perusing. Look at his " my documents." I'm computer illiterate and even I would know. Or she could ask someone to help her. Absolutely no excuse there. Child is a HUGE red flag. So many child molestations and murders now are preceded by child on the perp's 'puter. How can a woman overlook child on her husband/boyfriend's computer???? It shows his sick fantasies and interests. I am infinitely fascinated in how women become so desperate for a man and consumed with their own needs that they stupidly overlook all the warning signals that puts their child(ren) at risk.
