I don’t know which unit is actually hers. That’s something I’d love to see, as it would help in regards to trying to visualize what might have happened.

Say whatever happened, happened in that apartment. How did the perpetrator manage to move her and the baby downstairs and to a vehicle/dumpster/whatever, without being spotted?

I don't see in any scenario that it is possible that she was moved out of the apartment incognito. I believe they lived on the third floor (based upon an interview where the neighbor said he lived two floors below her).

many thanks for keeping her media thread updated. I'm glad they are still searching but I don't think they will find them there. JMO

FBI asking to search homes near missing mother, newborn apartment

SABBM:
This week, FBI agents continue combing the area, speaking with neighbors and asking to search homes.

<......>

People living in homes behind the fence that backs up to the complex tell CBS Austin they, too have gotten knocks on the door. One woman says FBI agents asked to come in her backyard and looked near the fence line of her property.

<.....>

In the meantime, community members are planning a search for Heidi and Margot this weekend. Organizer Sarra tells us people are on standby and prepared to help.

However, Austin Police say at this time, a community-led search will likely not help them and they will request assistance if needed.
______________________

Sounds like LE's focusing their searches now close to the home.

They aren't at all seeking the community's help in their search efforts.

The messaging is loud and clear:

"Thanks, but we got this."

I think they're closing in.

JMO.
Yeah. It’s great that people want to help, but if law enforcement doesn’t want it, then they don’t want it.

I agree, there’s a reason for that, and it’s not because they’re lost.

Someone would have seen something and I would think residents of this apartment are up/ outside at all hours of the night.

Around four to five FBI agents were at Broussard’s apartment complex on South First Street and William Cannon Drive on Wednesday, talking to residents and knocking on doors.

Meg Thunhorst, who moved into the apartment complex two weeks ago with her boyfriend, said the FBI visited her unit Wednesday afternoon, asking her if she knew anything about the situation and requested information about the make and model of her car.

Sonia Aguilar, who has lived in the complex for about a year, said FBI agents visited her apartment on Wednesday afternoon and also asked to search her home and her car. That was the fourth time they visited, she said.

“It’s very safe here,” Aguilar said in Spanish. “It’s weird for this to happen here.”
Search for missing Austin woman, infant draws feds' interest, social media speculation

BBM-It would seem this means they are searching video and want to identify those seen?

Baby would be pretty easy.
As far as HB, here are some possibilities that spring to mind:
  • Luggage
  • Boxes
  • Laundry basket
  • Large wastebasket/bin
  • Storage Chest
  • Cooler/Ice Chest

I did a transcription and was able to hear ALL the questions asked by the interviewer, may I add it to the thread?
Yes, please do!

Community organizes search for missing Austin mother, baby
Just one week ago at Waterloo Ice House in Southpark Meadows, Broussard and her then two-week-old baby Margo sat at a table. The very next day, they vanished.

Now fliers with their pictures line the windows at Waterloo. Soon those same fliers will be posted around South Austin. A group of community members will conduct a search of the area around Heidi’s apartment, the last location police believe she visited.

Sarra, who is organizing the search, knows the complex well.

“The first apartment complex I was in after I moved out of my house,” Sarra said.

When she found out there was no official search party set up, Sarra decided to create one.

“I thought I can make a little contribution and the response has just been overwhelming and I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, we live in a wonderful community,” said Sarra.

She called the pastor at Gateway Church South to ask if he was comfortable with the church serving as a sort of home base for volunteers.

“He immediately was like, ‘yes.’ He didn't even think, so that was really amazing,” Sarra said.

I wonder if Sarra is disregarding LE?
As we know, they are not requesting help.

Thanks MG, if nothing else we can see how the stairs look in relation to the parking lot. Worth noting, this picture is of three story apartments, not just two. Look at the set of stairs on the opposite side, that's the third floor.

We’re at the apartment complex where missing mom Heidi Broussard and her newborn baby Margot Carey live. Stark difference from previous days where APD and FBI have talked to neighbors. Today, with the exception of a couple of APD cruisers passing through, it has been empty.

Sonia Aguilar, who has lived in the complex for about a year, said FBI agents visited her apartment on Wednesday afternoon and also asked to search her home and her car. That was the fourth time they visited, she said.

If this is true, it appears they zeroed in on something. A vehicle description perhaps? 4 visits?
