NW Harris Co. home swarmed by FBI and Austin police

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- About a dozen officers from the Texas Rangers, Department of Public Safety, FBI and the Austin Police Department have been at a home in northwest Harris County for hours Thursday.

It appears to be part of a high profile investigation on Bo Jack Drive near Jersey Village.

An Eyewitness News crew waited for what was believed to be a warrant service. Then, around 8:15 p.m., there was movement, with law enforcement going into the house.

But, authorities seemed to be more focused on a car in the driveway in the back.

SkyEye 13 was overhead earlier in the day, and a Nissan was seen parked up close to the house.

The presence of Austin police has prompted our questions on whether this is connected to the disappearance of Austin mother Heidi Broussard and her infant daughter. They haven't been seen since Dec. 12.

Jmo the baby must be Margo...could they simply take away a baby that belonged to the home?

I suppose it depends on what sent CPS to the house to begin with.

LE is at a home in Houston. ME is there as well. CPS removed a one month old unharmed baby earlier today. The homeowner in Houston is a friend of Heidi's. "Friend' was supposed to be pregnant and due Dec 1.

Key word, supposed.

Maybe the initial circumstances didn't warrant a connection to Heidi and Margo? That's my initial guess.

On Thursday night, the Texas Rangers confirmed that they are assisting the FBI on a case of a missing mom and baby girl case out of Austin.

The search has taken Rangers to Bo Jack Drive near Jersey Village in Harris County.

day, Child Protective Services called the Cy-Fair Fire Department to the home. A 1-month-old baby was found “with no visible signs of distress." The baby was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Please, please, please be careful with the back-door entrance of rumors. So far, I've seen two and I'm more than 20 pages behind. It's either naive or manipulative to make an unsubstantiated claim and pose it as a question. I hope it's naïveté. They're rumors until it's reported in reputable sources and if you haven't found it there, you won't find it here. I'm not saying someone can have a real piece of new information to post here, but it's just gossip or rumor until verified. I'm not the room monitor, so excuse me for buttin' in, but I'm selfish and I don't want to have another shut down, I love these forums.

ETA: my post was about something other than what's happening now - I was 20 pages behind when I wrote it. I posted the comment and this breaking news popped up! Holy cow!

Since it's being reported a child linked to the disappearance of Austin mom was removed during the afternoon -- the raid was not delayed.

It was the search warrants that they were waiting on. Without the warrants, all the evidence collected would not be admissible in court. If true that a victim was concealed in the trunk, they need a warrant for the vehicle-- as well as the house.

Maybe it took time to identify the baby. If the kidnapper swore it was their child, who'd be around to gainsay said kidnapper? Babies' looks change so frequently at that age, sometimes even the hospitals hand the wrong kid over. We also never know/heard what Margo was wearing.
