My take on reporters.
They try to keep it as low key as much as possible. They don't want their interview guest to walk off.
It's the cops' job to interrogate.
I did get the feeling he was thinking he was being interrogated, though, because of all the details he was giving.

I was surprised when he said their friends were behind them, right away, right when there was “no evidence”. Evidence for what? Is he thinking they are deseased? Abducted? How does he know ahe hasnt ran away? I doubt that the latter.
Timeline.....ask the book fair people when they sold those books and to who.
The boy who was in school will have a lot of valuable info if he talks. They can narrow timeline.
Moo

Evidence of anything like a struggle, I would guess. Everything looked normal.

I did this last, just when the thread got closed:

1:01 He uses her name - Heidi
1:21/22 Uses her name, again
1:25/26 Chokes up when he says it's Heidi's first day taking Margo, by herself
1:37 Uses Heidi's name
1:58 "She was making lunch, right before I left" - smiles
2:28 "she bought three books" - smiles
2:37-46 recounting their AM phone conversion about the books, "I tell her I love you, good bye" - he pauses, smiles, laughs and says "Aw, man, this is hard" (obvious question - what's hard?)
3:00-08 Pausing, smiles, struggles with what to say, says he's been repeating it all day and sighs
3:20-27 reporter asks is she should move on with another question and he says no, it's a good question, smiling, says it's a weird situation, laughs again
3:38-52 really struggling, doesn't know what to say, says he needs to stand up (indicates, to me - MOO - extreme stress/fight or flight/feeling trapped - though he welcomes questions, it should be noted - causes me anxiety just to watch it - no judgement as to source of his stress, just observing)
4:29-35 dad got cancer, chokes up, literally pushes that feeling away by waving his hand, three times and smiles/laughs (my take - emotional guy who pushes away pain)
Camera man begins to play director and I'm stopping there.

Anyone feel free to copy & paste the above and pick up where I left off. Too time consuming for me!
Thx for typing this out. It seems a bit mumbled on my device at times so I appreciate it!

NEW from @Austin_Police on missing Heidi Broussard/Margot Carey: Police plan to hold a press conference tomorrow at a time to be determined. @KVUE
Bryce Newberry on Twitter

If they thought it was important for the public to be involved and possibly help locate them I would think they’d have the PC sooner than tomorrow to help get the word out, as we know every second counts. It doesn’t to me like they’re pursuing an abduction. Jmo.

Does anyone know if there is a scanner thread for this case and if so, could you please link it here? (I did not see a link on page 1.)

That's what is concerning us locally :-/ There were helicopters all over the first day - nothing since and no pleas for help, BOLO etc.

I found it peculiar SC felt an urgent need to search dumpsters for clues. (Linked in previous articles/videos)

I'm being diligent in not drawing conclusions and exploring all possibilities and, taking that into account, I don't find it odd. I find it grim as in he's considered the worst (I'm like that so can relate).

Thanks !
Good news, I hope.
I just hope that they are going to give some news not just say that they are working on the case. I think that the police are aware that this case is gaining traction and that they need to say something. I just hope that they have some leads.

I guess I don't understand why he didn't think to go collect the oldest child from school if her car was still at the apartment. How else would she have picked up the child? Were they within walking distance to the school? I'm still stuck on that.

Maybe the kid typically goes to daycare. If the month was already paid, I can see him till attending even bough mom is home.

My question is why would someone who comes home to find their fiancé and newborn missing, door or car open (depending on which version of his is correct), purse with money inside her car or home (depending on which version is correct), baby’s diaper bag left behind, phone going to voicemail, no contact by fiancé and not call the police for another almost six hours?

Who does that?

We need Paul Harvey here to tell us "the rest of the story."

Would there be an Amber alert posted?

Really. If you aren't alarmed by any of those clues, why not just pick up the son and wait for her to come home from wherever she is with the baby? Why call the police after you pick up your son and she still isn't home? Why should you all of a sudden be concerned then? Nothing else about the situation concerned you...

I don't do Pinterest except for looking at links at WS.

But based on Pinterest Heidi was interested in marriage as there are 4 areas about weddings on her Pinterest and several are among her most active threads.

The presser? 1 PM Central time tomorrow. (they got the dates for wrong in their FB post)
Thank you, I am Eastern time 2 p.m. for me. I think we may get some well needed answers. Keeping my fingers crossed.

His son wasn't with him when he got home at 1:40 or 2, though. (His timeline keeps changing.)

SC didn't pick him up until the after school program called him to say that HB hadn't gotten him - sometime after 6pm. (Sources vary on exact time.)

So, maybe he smokes a joint, drinks, crashes, watches TV. Or whatever.

There is still a yet unexplained window of time that is approximately 4 hours long.

However, we're given a highly detailed explanation of the morning hours, to include drinking/getting a glass of water.

Odd to me.

Okay, that's right about grilling the leftover lunch after 6PM. Forgot that.

How does his timeline change?

For some reason, reporters failed to ask him about the period between when he arrived and picked up their son and it seems he was answering what they asked. Not sure he was dodging talking about the 2-6 PM time frame.

I think that the first evening, when you don't really know what's happening and have to explain everything to police, it seems a bit early to be looking for 'clues' in dumpsters, and a very unusual choice of where to look. I don't know what was going through his mind to think of it, I just think it's a very unusual choice.

Definitely not even close to walking distance to the school FYI. And those apartments are on an insanely busy east west thoroughfare to the interstate. Even if you were up for a 6 mile walk two weeks post-partum with a baby and a child, you wouldn't enjoy that walk.
