In the Fox 7 news video, what is in his left pocket? Looks like a needle with blood on it!

I found it odd that both times his phone rang, the dad went to try to grab it from his pocket (and it wasn't even in that pocket). Who does that?
I was watching the video again, so took a screenshot.

Maybe it's a pen? Not sure.

But not the post gitana was replying to. That poster had specifically said that you could traffic someone from the I-35 corridor and not necessarily go to the border. It was Gardenista in a previous post that mentioned race and Mexico.

Which, by the way, trafficking of white women happens all the time, though I agree that it wouldn’t make sense to traffic a white woman in Mexico.

The poster was replying to my post which was a direct response to the border post. That was the context.

Trafficking does happen to white women. Mostly who are:

1. Homeless.
2. Mentally ill and/or drug or alcohol dependent. Often both.
3. Runaways.
4. LGBTQ
5. From extreme family dysfunction.

In every single case like this we can be guaranteed that a couple scenarios will come up. They always do:

1. Drug trafficking retribution or sold for drugs scenario.
2. Human trafficking.
3. Drug cartels/Mexican gangs.

In not one of these high profile cases of a missing white child or white woman has the bottom two been the reality, with the exception of a technical trafficking charge when creepy teacher or mom’s boyfriend transporting the child across state lines for sexual purposes. And the top one is very, very rare.

Yet it’s such the inevitable go to in these cases that one would think we have constant news stories about these things happening in the states rather than panicky rumors to look out for strange sex trafficking vans and stories of bored housewives being “followed” in the Ikea.

Why no Amber Alert then if they are assumed alive? *confused*

I know what the context was. Please read the poster’s subsequent posts. Gardenista is really who you should have replied to. Silentob52’s post was on reply to Gardenista and then you replied to silentob52. But no worries.

I don't think she was trafficked. I meant, hypothetically - if someone paid to have her killed. (If I'm allowed to say that. My apologies if that is not cool to say, but it is what I thought.)
If someone was paid to abduct them, then I need a new POI. My guy thinks $25 is a big deal.

Thanks - though that still doesn't say he called HER/the friend where he claims he thought she went. He does not specify that he went to or called the supposed friend nearby. (Wouldn't you just GO there if it was in the same complex?) He just says a generic "I called her friends." I fixed original post.

No, it doesn't say he called that specific friend that lives in the complex, but it also doesn't say he didn't. Logically, I would assume he would call the friend that he thought she was with in the first place, the one that lived in the complex. I don't think we can just assume he didn't because he wasn't specific enough. JMO

Why no large, blown up photos of the missing mother and child???????? I think that the Violent Homicide Division is the one investigating this disappearance for a reason.

There would be a lot of people who knew she was pregnant with the line of work she does. Other staff and or the people who she serves every day while working. Someone who wanted a baby could have easily befriended her and be the culprit here. I just don’t think it’s the fiancé/bf in this case. I realize his discrepancies in his interviews but I think stress and worry was a lot of it. Moo. I pray for a good outcome but unless there’s a big break soon, I don’t see that happening. So sad for the family. My prayers will continue. Bless them all!

The border makes a lot of sense to lots of people for lots of reasons. I don't buy it in this case at all.
Yes, it's easy enough to get to but would sex traffickers have much ' use/need/ desire' to take a 2 wks post childbirth woman down there? I don't think so. Plus a baby is a big headache to kidnappers unless they specifically wanted a baby of their own to raise and if that were the case, the border would not likely be in play. If she were running away on her own I doubt if she'd go to the border either. It's become a very dangerous place on both sides the last several years and she would likely know that from watching the news. She would certainly not attempt to get there without supplies and ID. I will be stunned if she has crossed the border on her own free will or at the hands of any ' captors'.
Or could it be looked at as

Here's a healthy baby up for "adoption"

I've typed and deleted for the last half hour.

Why no amber alert then if they are assumed alive? *confused*

It was stated in the press conference that the situation did not meet the criteria for an AA.

I thought he said he called around 7 and police arrived around 730. LE said they received a call at 730. Two different versions.

moo

in the video I linked, he says he called at 7:15 or 7:30.

Locals have told the gates stand open so they're pretty useless.
Even if they are kept closed it provides a false sense of security. My son was shot in a gated apartment complex while sitting in his car talking to his girlfriend. APD cops saw video where 2 ppl got in on foot. They said there isn't any safe places anymore gated or not. Just FYI

if she’s on maternity leave from Cracker Barrel and he’s a mover with 3 children, I’d have to agree with you that $25 is a lot probably.

Why would he say there is no reason for him to believe H&M were harmed if that’s what he thought
I think it would have been more accurate if he said “they have no evidence to indicate that they have been harmed”. IMO he’s pretty darn sure they’ve been harmed, he just can’t prove it.
