Wow. Are the interviews up?

I'm watching live and haven't seen anything yet and they didn't tease it. Can't wait to see it.

I won't claim to be an expert :p, but smoking pot - even initially - isn't likely to make someone laugh about a missing loved one if they are extremely upset about it.

I'll agree with you there but it *can make people stupid and laugh at the most inappropriate times because it's the just one of the effects of THC. IOW, related to nothing external.

You don't have to be a first-time pot smoker to get a case of the giggles.
Who cares if he smokes pot? Why do I keep seeing this? I'd need a tranquilizer after something like this.....

Off the top of my head and thinking aloud:

I wonder if LE has been looking at her computer history.

Off the wall scenario:
Might Heidi have been a participant in any new mother/ baby forums or chat groups.
What if a participant had nefarious motives and that person over time came across as helpful, friendly, one of them, befriending Heidi and other new moms, but intended something much worse (wanted a child for herself, or as a go between for the sale of a newborn).

Trust level established....messages Heidi "hey, I have a bunch of baby clothes my little one has grown out of" or whatever, Heidi is keen (they are tight on money), person arranges to drop by "come down to my car, I'm parked wherever".....Heidi and Margot go downstairs to meet up, won't take long, sits in said car for brief chat with the generous "mom", boom... are incapacitated by a second person in the back seat....and off they go.

These days, the cat fishing, the online pedos, the money scams.....we all know the dangers. A new mother well established in a kinship group of new moms, may not think it through.

As I stated...thinking aloud

It’s possible. Phone or social media records could show if someone was planning to meet up with her. Otherwise it appears they do have surveillance at the apartments of some sort.

But discrepancies in the interviews are only part of the problem. Not doing anything for 6 hours is also a big red flag.

SC has been his own worse enemy, IMO. Daily Mail has a tv program, too, and they just talked about SC's interviews and the 5 1/2 - 6 hr. gap Is he giggly stoned or being evasive? Just want some logical answers! JMO, I can't imagine him passing a lie detector test. LE must have put him through heavy interrogation questioning, but acted like they're accepting his giggly answers? He hasn't hired an attorney yet. He's not worried? I don't know what to think.

Were it not for my daughter calling me while she was being targeted and her going into a safe business, SHE would have been a victim. She is a young girl, not black, not LGBT, not Hispanic, not any one ethnicity but she could pass as white as she is pale with dark red hair (Mixed Japanese, middle eastern, German and Scottish) and she was targeted. Why? Young, pretty, alone, on foot, and seemed easy to get. Articles don't mean diddly when it is your kid. She was targeted. This was very recent. Also the raids in ATX and SA were recent. AGAIN- I am NOT saying this is what happened to Heidi and Margo, just that is DOES happen and not just to certain ethnicities. I do NOT think Heidi was the victim of traffickers. Not at all, but it is a real threat and thinking it won't happen because one is the "wrong" ethnicity, is an unsafe way to think. Anyone can be a target.

What evidence do you have that she was being targeted to be kidnapped into the sex trade? Sometimes men just want to talk to a pretty girl. Sometimes they’re just predators who want to rape and kill someone. That happens.

Articles and research do mean squat. The sex trafficking hysteria derails so many threads and not once has it been confirmed to be the outcome except like I said- due to the perp taking a minor across state lines for the purposes of illegal sexual activity. (Not to sell).

I'm the last person in the world who cares if anyone does drugs, honestly.

I'm not sure what point other people were making, I was purely responding that you don't have to be a first-time pot smoker to get an intense good or bad reaction, which other people may think goes a way to explaining his more unusual behaviours when he's interviewed.

I should add that I have a friend who I met at Starbucks over a year ago. I talk to her every day but haven’t ever talked to her online or on my phone. I know more about her than I do some of my closest friends. And she too knows a lot about me including where I live. I just have this nagging feeling that this has to do with the baby more than anything. I agree the 5 hr window of time is questionable but until we know exactly what he was doing I’m giving him the benefit of doubt. I might be completely off in my thinking but I think it should be considered and checked out. Moo

Good points and all should be checked into. But...I’m thinking the opposite. That whatever harm Heidi has met with was intended for her, and the baby just happened to be there. And now both are missing. Sadly, I fear the worst outcome for Heidi. But it’s possible the baby has survived and is being hidden.

Far-fetched I suppose. I can’t yet bear considering the worst possible ending in its entirety.

I have no idea how I'd react. I'm guessing either totally incapacitated or completely alert and focused. I honestly don't know but I doubt it'd be like SC did in those interviews. That was odd IMO.

Which was this one?
During the presser while answered a reporters question the Detective referred to the “offense” but quickly tried to change to “situation” or something. I was working and listening and the word “offense caught my attention. His tone just said a lot to me.

20 minutes is about right for his work to their apartment, so it sounds like he called when he was heading home.
Google maps gives the time to drive from his work to their complex at around 40-50 minutes if he left a 1:40. If he had a job he got off later than 2 the drive time gets longer, by 3ish it is 1 1/2 hours drive (via google maps). Traffic is awful these days. If we actually had verification he left at 1:40, then it would be a shorter drive but still 40 to 50 minutes if not accidents or road hazards (debris, etc.). Of course he could have stopped for coffee, fuel and/or snacks, as the guys in our family do after work. I know if I was to be asked to recount what exact time I was on a certain day, it would not be that exact without something major to clue like the time I saw several guys in a car (college age) with Jason masks on...so creepy I noted the time and told everyone when I got home. It was just college kids being silly but definitely made me remember note the time on the car clock at the moment I saw them. Most of the time I "guesstimate" my drive times and times I arrive home. Could be just me, though.

I wondered if he had taken a zanax or something like that. I've only watched that one interview with him so not sure how he acts normally. The uncut interview was interesting, he seemed genuine at times and odd at others.

When your newborn and partner are missing?

That wasn't my (personal, it may have been the OP's) point. All I was saying is, broadly, as a substance and with its use, anyone can get a case of the giggles if it's their first joint or their 500th. I just don't like common misconceptions of drug use, I have no strong feeling if he's a stoner or not, or if his behaviour is impacted by weed or not; that's not my point here.

It's a 20 minute drive from there to here with no traffic or accidents - 40-50 isn't accurate for mid-day.

In the Fox 7 news video, what is in his left pocket? Looks like a needle with blood on it!

I found it odd that both times his phone rang, the dad went to try to grab it from his pocket (and it wasn't even in that pocket). Who does that?
A control freak, may be a case of father like son. JMO

I have a medical condition that makes my hands have small tremors, and anxiety on top of that. I get nervous and my hands go crazy. People often ask me if I'm on drugs or think im having withdrawals. I can only imagine what they would think about me in a situation like this. I don't think he appears high, and if he were- I wouldn't fault him for it. They would have to tranquilize me if it were my child.
I was responding to the poster you responded to.

I really don't think he has a needle in his pocket, but it certainly does resemble one...screenshot attached.

It's the wireless mic for the news camera.

I sure don't. My thinking is just that he was stoned in that one interview which would explain the behavior.

It's a mic antenna poking out of his left pocket.
