I think "both there" refers to both Heidi and the baby.

not at all lol Read the post I replied to... BBM

Good question !

Am going on the assumption that SC told her the same theory he said in the interview -- that someone took her.
If there's proof that they made it back home after the morning drop off and book fair, then whatever happened occurred at or outside the home.

LE seems to think Heidi and baby were at the house after the drop off; at the same time as SC. According to the latest presser.
So the P. conference wasn't totally in vain.
According to their words, (paraphrased) "...We believe they were (both) there for some time...".

We now know that both SC and Heidi and baby M. were at the house together after she returned from the son's school.
That seems huge now !

IF SC was off work early (not sure, some articles have said that) then he would've been home some time after Heidi got back; or before her return.

Could mean something or nothing.....

I apologize, I missed this update somehow. Please explain how we know the school never called.
It's on page 50 of this thread, top of page link to NBC report. I'm sorry I can't figure out how to link

I find it so strange they have taken nothing as evidence. The car, the purse, the backpack diaper bag.....

Also strange that her apartment, as far as we know, hasn't been scoured by LE. Dusted, fingerprinted, photographed - every inch.

Or they did it very quietly...?

Oh I’m sure they did. We just haven’t heard about it.

It got dark well before he called 911. Possibly even before he picked up his son.

Could it be he was dumpster diving because that's where he threw the phone and keys? And going to T-Mobile. Was he attempting to head off info that would discredit his story?
Just speculating.

Evidently he wasn’t asked to leave, so they must not consider it a crime scene. Jmo. Which is a good thing.

Maybe he “loaded his tools for work” like Chris Watts

That complex would be buzzing like a bee hive come 4:30/5:00 with people coming home from work, I would think!

It’s so freaking dark after 530. I’ll do a video tomorrow since I’m nearby.

At this point, I'm openly speculating about why SC is wearing that beanie jammed down over his ears in every single interview.

I want him to take off the beanie.

And not just because it's proper etiquette, either.

JMO.
I'm going with scratches, either on his ears or forehead. If they exist, no worries, right. LE have seen them and he just explained them away as part of his moving job  Better though not to have them out there on MSM for the world to see.

I'm not sure if it matters if the school called or not? He knew her car was in the parking lot when he returned home from work.

Oh it matters because he originaly said they did call. If he is now saying they did not that is another change to his story.

<imoo>

This guy is definitely unhinged.
It's probably remorse.
But the turmoil is real.

I also get the impression he's a bit
um, shall I say,
not well-gifted, intellectually.
Or perhaps it's just blunted by drugs.

I don't think he wants to be screwed up.
But he is.

I'm getting to the point where I want to fly
in, and assist in finding Heidi and Margo.
I have a friend who lives in Austin, who has
always given me an open invitation to stay.
I just might mosey on over there...

Guilty or not, this man is currently in victim stays. There has been NO mention of drug or alcohol abuse in MSM.

Giving myself a time out.

I do not understand why the main daily paper, the Austin American Statesman, has only a short article updated last on 12/13 for this very concerning and upsetting case - and no comments on it.

At least Nancy Grace has picked it up and no matter how one might feel about her, she gets the news spread to sleuthers quickly.

I'm still STUNNED but NOT surprised, at that do-nothing presser. The lack of photos has me appalled. Whether voluntarily gone or not, whether SC was involved or not, there should have been pics there showing her and their family unit so that people could see and maybe think, "Hey, I saw them..." and the case could get that one great tip. MOO, always MOO.

As lacking as Dulce's press coverage has been, at least it was better than this. And hers has me very upset because it just seems to be a big shrug about it up there. Although the wall-to-wall coverage when Jamie C went missing didn't lead to her rescue (she rescued herself, brave girl), at least the woman she ran up to was aware of who she was and no time was lost in getting her to safety!

Okay I'm starting to spiral out at this point. Sorry. Just upset.

I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but from my perspective, that presser really was par for the course in terms of LE missing person pcs.

It ran pretty true to form.

As a point of comparison, I just rewatched the initial press conference by Woodland PD after Kelsey Berreth went missing.
*Here's a link to the presser in that case for comparison purposes only, NOT a pc regarding this case:

Aside from the fact that KB's mom spoke briefly at the press conference in that case, the messaging from LE was remarkably similar to what we just heard from APD.
It was even approximately the same length, around 10 minutes or so.
In the Kelsey case, that pc was held on December 10th.
LE stated they had no suspects at that time.
They arrested the moron Frazee for murder on December 21st, a mere 11 days later.

LE rarely admits they have a POI or suspect.
Especially when they actually have a POI or suspect.

They have one in this case, too....or I'll eat my beanie, the fact that I don't actually own a beanie, notwithstanding.

JMO.

Just speculating.

I think maybe he was not actually dumpster diving but created a reason for being seen at multiple dumpsters within the complex. He probably had things to trash and scattered them around. Jmo

Interesting. So they don't consider it a crime scene even though they don't know what happened?

Or - perhaps they do know for certain that nothing major happened there? I wonder how that is so.

I'm mindful of the recent case involving Patrick Frazee.

The police might have asked SC to explain the timeline and been gentle about it. Once they've done that, they still have to go verify everything he's told them - without arousing his suspicion while they're doing it.

PF had a well-planned fake timeline - so well-thought out that he wrote it down and did a 'walk through' afterwards with his friend to tighten it up. LE went along with him at first, holding their tongues while they nailed down the camera evidence that clearly demonstrated significant problems in his timeline.

I think that's probably part of what's going on here.
So did Fotis Dulos

If it is like here it is VERY busy. I think someone mentioned the walls there are not as soundproof as ours are so I bet people would have heard a fight/argument, etc. The Middle Schools let out before 4:30 so kids would be walking home too, lots of activity.
