One benefit of being local is that a good friend of mine actually knows SC and the son. She shared some information that plays into what we have all already been discussing. I’ll wait patiently until we can share more - but does anyone know if Texas is a state where prior arrest records are publicly searchable? Not that we can discuss any findings, but...yeah.
Is the husband a POI? Is he under suspicion? I can't find anything on him...am I missing something?? Help!!
Oh gosh here we go again. Another Watts/Frazee. Hope I’m wrong but this has alllllll the elements.
LE has got to be reviewing security footage, conducting interviews etc and very busy building a case of what I’m sure they suspect.

Cracker Barrel is one of the few restaurants that provides full health insurance to servers, or at least they did. I wonder if she was more a single mother than not.Mom was apparently working at Cracker Barrel until being off for birth, so it is conceivable older sibling was enrolled in after school care (and they continued it to keep his place for when/if she went back to work, and/or to give mom a break). In that case, my son's pickup was sharply by 6pm or they charged late pickup fee, so IF this was the case, I could see call coming from school at 6pm instead of immediately after school day ended at 3pm.
Exactly.Rsbm
If they can confirm 100% that he was accounted for at work, that is one of the first things that LE would share as part of a public statement to do with this case so the public would remove their focus from him.
All JMO and observations from following other cases.
My take on things is that that would be the correct line of thinking. MOO - things were rocky at home, at best.Cracker Barrel is one of the few restaurants that provides full health insurance to servers, or at least they did. I wonder if she was more a single mother than not.

What time were they reported missing? And by who? If he got home at 2 and they were not there and door standing wide open,. I think he would have checked with the school to see if thier son had been dropped off ( or less he already knew the answer)Here's what I find odd. If he comes home at 2, and is wondering why the car is still here and his wife and newborn are gone, then wouldn't he check with the school, at 2:45, to see if his wife was there to pick up their son? Or to see if she had been around?
Maybe she was volunteering at the book fair and fogot to tell him. I'd think he'd check the school as a potential location for his missing family. But it's not until 6 pm that he hears from them?
Surprised he didn't call the school himself before then. IF he was wondering where his family was...
Only if you promise to come bail me outCan you go wrap some crime scene tape around that dumpster?
(Being half way facetious...)
(ETA: Speaking of which, @MsFacetious and @MsMarple , tag)
He has NOT been named as a POI.Is the husband a POI? Is he under suspicion? I can't find anything on him...am I missing something?? Help!!
No, boyfriend. Is he actually a husband?
Only if you promise to come bail me outif I get in trouble...
The statement about the door being open is what is way off about him not calling the school. If it were just she and baby were not there and car still there, I might think they walked the block to the HEB to get groceries. I walk to the store all the time and am there quite a while. But I would NEVER leave my purse at home or phone and never ever leave the door opened. I don't leave it unlocked even when I am home. The door and stuff left there is what I see as suspicious and not necessarily her s/o. There are several possibilities including human trafficking which IS a problem along the I-35 corridor (Dallas/Austin/San Antonio). What time were they reported missing? And by who? BBMJust catching up here....
No mention of a stroller, baby sling or carseat missing. JMO she and baby Margot did NOT leave on foot.
Her 6 year-old son may hold some key answers to her mood that morning...and how things were at home as of late. JMO but LE will tread very carefully while interviewing him.
Kids are very astute at that age...especially when such a big change such as the addition of a new family member has recently occurred in their world. They listen to and watch everything.
JMO She did not leave voluntarily....unless PPD or PPS has factored in. Cameras from homes or from local businesses will hopefully confirm if this is a voluntary departure.
A woman walking while carrying in her arms a newborn baby without having a diaper bag will be easy to spot.
I hope that things are not as they seem. Both of the top two possible scenarios I have in mind are frightening.
I want to know with the search dogs came up with....
JMO
I wish I had my scanner on earlier. I usually have it on when my husband goes to work. I do not usually turn it on until after 10pm. Most nights I am saddened by all the bad things that happen in ATX. Most never makes the news and people I know very well here keep saying how safe it is here. I know better now.Anyone found the Austin police call logs?
