Homicide Investigation Stalls; Victims IDs Remain A Mystery
A facial reconstruction expert, Suzanne Boldan, who teaches in the Criminal Justice department at McLennan Community College, created a face for one of the two victims, using the skull as a guide.
The homicide victim was 45 to 55 years of age, and was 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5.
The other man, whose skull was not found, was 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3.
Devlin says the department received some leads right after photos of the reconstruction were released, but none of them panned out.
What we're doing is we're again trying to get the image out trying to get the information out hoping that somebody will see the facial reconstruction that we've done, Devlin said.
Maybe they missed it the first time (and) hopefully this will jog some memories, he said.
Residents found the first set of remains on Sept. 6 while walking near a creek bed in the wooded area behind their home in the 100 block of Bridle Path in Hewitt.
