Thanks for making this, it looks great!! If I were to link the NamUs profile on some Texas missing/unsolved facebook pages, do I have your permission to use your image rather than the postmortem?
Yes, feel free.

I thought I could almost see the outline of a chain on his anatomical right side. No jewelry was listed but I could see there not being deep/obvious ligature marks if he used something wider than a rope or belt. Also, the report reads like he was transported while still alive so there probably wasn't time for the object to sink deeply into the skin like we see on many victims. He didn't spend too much time without oxygenation.

And great job on the recon, @victoriarobinson642 - it really captures him.

I'm confused. It wouldn't seem like there's enough room inside a schoolbus, vertically speaking, to hang oneself, even if you're only 5'1". Maybe that's why he was still alive when found? This case is really sad.

You can successfully hang yourself from a bedroom door knob. There really isn't a requirement to actually be suspended.

Do you remember the Lyle Stevik case? He hung himself sitting on his knees. I agree it's terribly sad.

I'm really ecstatic, the FB post currently has ~800 shares, mostly from people in Texas/Mexico. I really think this has a good chance of leading to an ID.

Hispanic is not a race; it’s an ethnicity. So, he is white with Hispanic ethnicity. JMO

The exposure is great! Thanks! Poor loved ones....I hope he will be identified soon. I'm happy there is at least a "showable" recon, thanks to @victoriarobinson642

I've got nothing to really add but...2.4k shares now! :D No one has come up with any good ID suggestions yet but the exposure is still great.

Coming back to speculation about the edited tshirt, I just saw another UID case of Houston where the guy has a black shirt edited on for the photo. It might just be the 'method' the Harris County Institute uses to cover up unnecessary skin to preserve some aspect of modesty. I agree that it's a better method than tucking blue sheets tight against someone's face (which usually covers up the neck and ears, and any long hair) before taking the photo.

I didn't mention Hispanic.

It's clear that this man has zero or negligible European ancestry. He is not white and describing him as such is surely harmful to efforts to identify him.

to play 'devil's advocate' NamUs will often list an UID as multiple potential races if they are not 100% sure or not sure what the person would have identified as. Listing him as White/Hispanic makes it so that he will show up when searching for missing boys of both ethnicities. I agree he looks Hispanic but you never know how his family identifies and what they'd file him as missing under.
(I'm Eurasian and sometimes I wonder what NamUs would list me as if I ever come up as an UID :p)
