I think it's a good likeness. If he was last seen around Sept 2021 in Falfurrias, it's reasonable that he would have made it to the Houston area by January 2022 where he died.

Distance about 272 miles.

I mean you could be right but he was an astros supporter which means he must've grown up in Houston?

It’s possible, but I think it’s far more likely that Julian perished in the desert near Falfurrias and never had a chance to make it to Houston.

I doubt that’s him the hair looks different as well as the eyes

What do you mean the eyes look different...compared to what, because in the PM pictures his eyes are closed and we are working with the recon where the artist opened the eyes.

I don't know how to put this in the right words without being prejudgmental. My concern is his height. For a young man he is small. Of course height is for a great part a genetic thing, but also depends on healthy/enough food and healthcare.

Average length White Americans Lichaamslengte - Wikipedia

United States [14] males mean body height 1960 -2002178.3 cm20 - 39 years (White Americans)

This makes me doubt he spend his childhood in America or grew up in the US. I picture different social economic circumstances in childhood.

Wearing this clothes and the hair due doesn't necessarily mean he was a huge fan. It could also mean he wanted to belong to a group (people he knew, who were fans) or blend into "the Houston ways".

That crossed my mind also. A likely faith. It's just that the stats are so much the same. Only thing is that UID stated being Caucasian/Hispanic-Latino and MP is named Hispanic / Latino, but that could be a more subjective, outside thing and doesn't mean there couldn't be Caucasian blood in him.

Yaa i get that but Latinos are usually short, I'm mexican and native and its kind of something ive observed myself. Unless you're really eating clean, so no gmo and processed foods. I'm a 5'8 female and so is my sis, we're pretty tall compared to mostly every other girl we know and all the guys in my family who average out to about 6'5, being tall is super uncommon amongst latinos. His height range is super common lol

I've only known two Guatemalans and they were brothers -- both jockeys. I think that's why I didn't think twice about the UID/MP's height but I certainly could be wrong.

Historically, the vast majority of professional jockeys have come from Latin America – trained in the jockey schools which opened in the 1950s and 1960s in Panama, Puerto Rico and Mexico City. In the 2015 Kentucky Derby, 61% of the jockeys were Latino.

agree re: Guatemala.

Also, they list the following clothes for Julian:

Clothing
A dark colored oversized t-shirt and blue jeans with a belt.

Footwear
Likely tennis shoes, approx size 38 (Guatemala).

The shoe size 38 is equivalent to 6.5, which is the same size as our doe.

I would like to but "an entrance" is difficult, no contact name mentioned, only phone numbers, no mail address. I'm in Europe so I prefer not to call. Is there someone who is willing to make a call to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences?

I still feel this John Doe was at the younger end of his age range, especially considering his smaller stature. I work in a combined elementary/middle (K-8) school. He looks about the same age as the 8th graders IMO. Really young. I'd be surprised if he was 17/18/19. MOO.

This is a very good likeness, but honestly I don't think it is him. I think the DOE has a smaller nose bridge and his ears are a little smaller at the top (less round).

I strongly believe this John Doe was an undocumented immigrant, most likely from Guatemala, and as a result hasn't been reported as a missing person in the US. It is unfortunately all too common for young men to accompany their fathers on the perilous journey across the desert, and it's possible he was traveling with his father or another adult family member who could no longer continue walking and was left behind and John Doe found himself in a foreign country without any family. MOO.

I was browsing Namus and there was a john doe from Puerto Rico with a clear bullet wound to the head in his morgue photo, don't think they care about being graphic.
that wasnt HPD though. that was an agency in PR.

Yeah he probably wasn’t reported missing

Good chance the UID has no family, and nobody looking for him. Given he appears young in age, and took his life, perhaps USA wasn't what he envisioned. JMO

You know, I know you (and others) are probably right in this line of thinking. Still want to submit to sort of help making sure both are staying on the radar and to take away doubts.
