Of this list, Jamie Lee is the only possible. In order to direct your search, we feel that our unidentified girl died prior to the second week of September. It is very unlikely that she died in October.

Hope this is helpful guys!
I am feeling really good about Jamie!

Another reply:

Unfortunately, the facial drawing has been delayed until the end of April. I spoke to the detective who is handling Jamie's case and we are going to compare dentals this week.

Fingers crossed. I will keep you all updated with information about Jamie's comparison to smurfette as soon as information is available

Jamie's hair was puzzling, but earlier we discussed the hair looking as if it had extentions. I read that Jamies had extensions at the time of her dissappearace.

They say her hair is long and wavy to her shoulders, this makes me think they are talking about natural hair, I would hope that they would specify that she had extensions if she did.

Just talked to Dr. Derrick, her response:

Jamie is not our Smurfette girl. DNA exclusion

Let's keep looking for PM's remember to use Jamie's smile as a comparison to other missing girls. We should get that sketch next month!

I just saw that Ashleigh from Dallas poster had been discontinued , was she submitted ?

Does anyone know if Kimberly Burns and Monica Dolores were ever submitted as PMs?

Kimberly Burns
Missing from Texas since july 2012.Height is good. Weight listed for her is inaccurate unless her missing photo is super dated

Monica Dolores
Missing from PLANO. Went missing march 2012. Height is good. Weight is good. This is the only picture I can find of her and it is too blurry to tell if she has an overbite.

She was not submitted as a match, however I still showed her to Dr. Derrick to try to get an idea of what smurfette may look like. Although they are both biracial and have an overbite she told me they look nothing alike

I have looked at Erika's flyer a few times. I like her as a match as far as her description goes. The timeline is what throws me off.

Is there a facial reconstruction on her yet? I found 3 that may or may not be close.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/6456/4 Tawny Norris. Many have osteopenia and malnutrition due to running away and being on the streets awhile.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/18732/10 Joana Hernandaz. She has a huge scar on her left hand. I guess, considering a hand and foot was missing...it may be deliberate.

AND

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/12939/61 Cindy Valle. She was pregnant at her disappearance which cold lead to serious malnutrition/dental decay and other issues if she was on the street for awhile.

Anyway, if they have been posted...I apologize.

I've seen mention in diet articles that girls who diet too much while their bones are growing can cause their bones to get thin, like an older woman's. It could also mean she had been through chemotherapy, or had rheumatoid arthritis or thyroid problems or any of a number of other conditions: http://www.webmd.com/osteoporosis/guide/juvenile-osteoporosis-types

Didn;t they say that the girl was very skinny and malnourished? 5'2 and 140 is definitely overweight

I looked up osteopenia and it's not quite the same as osteoporosis, it seems to be less serious

I thought it was interesting that is can be associated with eating disorders. With the deterioration in the dental work, could she have been anorexic? Both can also result from steroid use, e.g asthma.

This, combined with the "in ill health" info and the malnutrition and osteopenia makes me wonder if she was bulimic?

Yes, you all are correct about osteopenia. As lyssv (?) pointed out certain medications for seizures can also cause osteopenia as is interferes with calcium absorption/bone density. Medications, such as those used for seizures, arthritis, or asthma can also cause horrible and premature tooth decay as well. Inactivity and lack of vitamin D can also cause it. Someone can be obese or heavy and still be malnourished, though.

I am not certain what the term biracial is implying in this case. We are thinking in terms of African-American and Caucasian, but, I think we should also look at those from the continent of Asia as well. Including Indian-Americans (from India). Women from India have very small bone structures and comparable hair with the picture. Many are strict vegetarians, due to religion, and osteopenia and tooth decay is a common occurrence in young women with very strict diets and high sugar consumption. I noticed two who are missing in a more northern state, but, I am confused about the isotopes and such. If someone can help me understand the isotopes better, that would be great...is it measured by a lifetime or years or weeks in an area etc. Thanks!

So we are really looking for a caucasion/african american mix according to Harris Co. I think they could tell if she was Hispanic, so maybe we are off track a bit?

Sloane7777, NamUs says unsure for race. The remains were skeletal. I am mainly trying to match the young age, hair, petite size and of course the overbite.

Yes that makes sense Houston Mom, did we determine if that hair was hers or a weave of human hair? Most of these girls pictured have obvious weaves if the hair is natural i would lean more toward hispanic or a true B/W mix

sidenote again: in Namus, the search criteria only lets you pick one race, they need to fix that as people are mixing races alot more than in the past alot of the missing fall into that catagory!
