I've been reading through the last posts, I too seem to think that it's more than likely a prostitution issue and maybe drug use?? ( Was there anything found in toxicology? I have no idea how that works.) I guess it's a gut feeling???... I have pondered over the abusive parents as well. I've been searching and searching and it seems every time I find someone who really fits the description, with some searching, they have been found alive. Sooo frustrating. About the clothing, I still haven't been able to narrow down the stores that sold them. However, like I have mentioned before, i've looked into things that may seem hopeless, in hopes to find just another little clue. So once more I was looking for the same shirt, which are being sold on ebay by a couple of people, so I looked at the listing for the person who was selling in multiple sizes, so I just happened to take a look where that person was selling out of, and that was Little Elm, TX. 4 hours away. I googled the area of Little Elm and there are quite a few articles about a prostitution ring that was busted therehesitate to post sometimes, because I know some of this stuff is meaningless, because it wont really lead to anything, but sometimes it's just the littlest thing, to make that light bulb turn on for someone else or something.

I have a question, when looking for height, how much should we vary? 2- inches? or more even?

Here is a girl that was missing from April 2012, that I had wrote down quite a while ago and ruled her out because of height.

Correction in above post, Was looking for more information on Stevie Bates, I noticed, the Charley Project has her listed as 6'1 which is why I always ruled her out, but here http://findsteviebates.com/page/2/ with updates from her mother, she's listed at 5'6? Also Charley Project says that she had started to become distant and neglect her personal hygiene.

Another one that looks very possible, but smurfette is not Stevie Bates.
Stevie has a DNA sample submitted in namus, as does smurfette. They run those tests every two weeks.

I just long for the day we learn her name and who she was. We know who she is now, our smurfette, a beautiful child, dumped like a piece of trash and left there to be forgotten. but definitely cared and loved for by any and all who have shared some sort of input here on this thread. I just hope one day we can all have peace of mind.

I truly am heartbroken for all of the parents of these missing girls. I can't even begin to imagine the torment of not knowing where your child is. I weep for them all.

I have had a couple of scary incidents in my life that over the past couple of years have haunted me. It's why I'm here. I could have been on a missing poster!
God bless the parents!

Amen Lyssav!!!! Thank goodness your here!!! I was almost abducted when I was little, right around the age of 3 or 4, my mother was in a store and letting me follow her and lag behind a little bit. She had noticed a man who looked very out of place and was not carrying anything, no cart, no coat (in the middle of winter in Michigan). He was looking at pillows and lingering around the department that we were in. As my mother and her friends were leaving, she let me lag behind as I said, after a walking a little bit she realized she didn't hear me and she turned around, and saw the man holding my hand and walking away with me in the other direction. She said she turned around, ran over there and called my name, she asked the man why he was holding my hand, and he said I just grabbed his hand. She said I had a blank look on my face. She asked me if I grabbed his hand, I told her that he tugged on my dress (or something to that effect, probably as if to get my attention), and he took my hand. My mother never reported it to the authorities. She said she was really shaken up and wanted to get out of there. That has always bothered me. I can't tell ya how thankful I am to be here. As a parent, i'm always more cautious, especially now that I read here. I look at people and situations differently. Its a scary world out there.

I was 9 years old the first time I thought I was going to be abducted, rollerblading in the driveway of my home in a quiet attractive neighborhood located on Galveston Island. It was about a year after Jessica Cain disappeared, the neighborhood was still adorned with red ribbons. I was very familiar with my neighbors and what vehicles they drove. A man pulled up and stopped in front of my driveway as I was rollerblading, immediately I was scared, I didn't recognize the car or the white/Hispanic male that was driving. He said "hey, come here." We made eye contact and then, I ran for my front door. And as I look back he is speeding away. I went in my room and hid for what seemed like forever. To this day I wonder what would've happened to me if I didn't know the dangers of talking to strangers, I wonder what would've happened to him if I would've told my mom and she reported it.
I learned of Jennifer Schuett's story years after my incident, and just got a haunting feeling when seeing the sketch of her abductor and his vehicle. I wonder to this day if the same man that almost took Jennifers life could have done the same to me.

Jennifer Schuett story(sketches at this link)

In no way shape or form is it ever okay or normal for an adult to stop and talk to a young child and "ask for directions" etc

I suspect that the lack of information means they've come home, but I think it would be a good idea to submit them anyway. LE has resources we don't.

I did a side by side of Shelbi and Smurfette. I'll try to get Victoria and Smurfette tomorrow; right now I'm having trouble getting her photo to download. Sometimes I hate the internet...

Smurfette with darker hair and eyes.

Houston Mom, thank you for this pic!

I'm prefacing this with the reasons this gal probably isn't our JD.... But when I compared her to the darker Smurfette (who I think is much more likely to look like our gal), I see a likeness...

This young lady was reported missing after Smurfette was found, however, we've seen other cases where the missing person isn't reported right away... I know the height is off too, but she is a slender build. I'm also not sure that the Smurf shirt and cargo pants look like her style. A little too preppy maybe (if they use that word anymore)

http://tx.missingkids.com/missingki...NCMC&seqNum=1&caseLang=en_US&searchLang=en_X4

BUT... she is slight build, multiracial, strong looking chin, and distinctly possible overbite.

I don't know, something about her just caught my attention...

Meredith Cooper reminds me a lot of the sketch, although her missing date is 12/15/2012 and the height is off. However i did google her name and it looks like she went missing earlier in the year, september(saw on websleuths, not accessible anymore?)to be exact, but was apparently found and then went missing again a couple months later. See link for photo

At 4'8, 140 lbs...I don't think a size 5 pants. I'm basing that solely on my height (5'3") and weight (undisclosed).

She went missing in 2010 so if she was living on the streets she could have lost weight. What do you think about her overbite?

Overbite is possible, but it's hard to tell from that photo.
