Oh that would be the most amazing news about Meredith!!! Such a beautiful young lady!!

The gals here definitely have been awesome! As I read through the entire thread, you can definatly tell they are dedicated! :) I'm really hoping she can have a name soon! I totally agree with you, it is sooo sad, no one deserves anything like this! It makes me think about things alot more when it comes to my kids. ( Not that I wasn't protective already) Just simple things like my teen asking to walk to the library on down our country road. Its a scary place out there!

Thank you for taking the time to post here :)

Charity Ann Delgado

Height, race, age, hair color and weight are all consistent. She might have an overbite, I think.

I'm not sure if she has been looked at before. But what about Kimberly Orellana?

I know she said she really didn't feel this smurfette is hispanic.

Here the timeline fits, the area fits, the age is a little young 12. There seems to be an overbite, and even the circumstances sort of fit.

Kimberly was traveling to Houston. And went missing August 09, 2012, and was last seenwalking along highway 281 between Falfurrias and McAllen, Texas on August 9, 2012. She may still be in the local area.

Per this article, it states "Immigrant activist Livio Danna said the group was heading to Houston but left her behind after she couldn't walk anymore. Now, Danna is doing whatever he can to find the 12 year old girl.

"She was travelling with people. She started to feel uncomfortable, upset and tired and then she just left at that point," Danna said."

I have looked at Kimberly Orellana many times and I don't really think her age is an issue. However, sadly enough Kimberly wasn't the only young woman to get left behind in south Texas after crossing the border, there were others. The link will take you to an article about unidentified remains in Brooks County, I am thinking they may discover Kimberly there.

I drove from Galveston to South Padre in April. 77 is so desolate and creepy(lots of wild dogs around). I can't imagine being a 12 year old child left alone in a place I am not familiar with surrounded by a bunch of brush and wild animals, most likely left with little to no water. It's very sad to imagine what this child may have went through.

Oh my goodness, how very, very scary indeed. I agree, I cant even begin to imagine. how sad :(

The search is still on for smurfette. I just spoke to Dr. Derrick and was told that Marissa is alive and well.

  • #591
That is such wonderfull news about Marissa, it always makes me happy when I hear someone is safe!!!! Has Dr. Derrick said anything about Tamara Elbertson as of yet ? :)

Haven't got a response yet. IMO she is too old, too tall, and the hair color isn't right, but her teeth were interesting. I will follow up with her tomorrow

  • #593
I know exactly what ya mean! That's what made me stop and say hmm were the teeth. It might be a long shot, but worth a try. It gets a little frustrating, I try to make sure they are still missing before i post, but it seems like everyone whom I thought matched, they were safe, thank goodness.

  • #594
I too try to make sure they are indeed still missing, but sometimes you have to dig real deep into google to find that information, it gets very frustrating, especially for me. I do all of my searching on an iPhone! Lol

  • #595
The iphone can definitely make it difficult sometimes for sure lol, and definitely with all the digging.

I do have a question for you though.
I know it was previously mentioned about where she thought she may be from, due to the isotopes and such, and the food she ate. And possible malnutrition ( if my memory serves me at the moment lol).

Was it possible to tell what she ate last? Or can she give out that info, if she was able to tell? I'm wondering what other small clues we could ask that might give us a little clue of to how she may have lived. For example, was there toxicology done?

  • #596
She was almost completely skeletonized. I'm guessing there were absolutely no organs left to examine, which from my understanding is why we don't have a cause of death.

I keep coming back to Kimberley too.

  • #598
Kimberly's age and destination make her seem possible. However the overall shape of the head isn't consistent IMO. Her chin doesn't appear to be strong enough and her forehead seems extremely rounded, while the sketch of smurfette looks like her forehead is not very rounded at all.
