I am thinking way (way, way) out of the box here but this little one would have been Smurfette's age and I think the teeth are interesting....

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/6778/2/

The teeth were definatly interesting. The only thing against it, is there is DNA submitted in her case. I am by far an expert, but I believe someone told me that if they are on Namus with Dna, they run that every few weeks and has probably already been ruled out. :)

Good idea, looking at some of the younger ones. I've thought maybe that she was part of a family abduction of some sorts maybe, and possible maybe its why she hasn't been reported??!? Maybe the parents were wanted, there are so many scenarios.?

Thanks for the info. :)

This little one's parents have been convicted of child abuse and murder, but no evidence of the child's body has ever been found and the story is quite... odd. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they had sold her, plus her teeth and her lovely face made me think of Smurfette.

I will carry on checking out younger ones whose age would match Smurfette's.

I'm not exactly sure if they are related, I do see an Erica Alfaro living in San Marcos, Texas on facebook, but of course, i'm not sure if it is the same.

Good thinking! Ya know there is a case that i'm looking at with almost the exact same thing. Murderer was convicted, but no body ( at least from what i'm finding ). Problem is, is that she was missing in 2007, her parents believe she may have been trafficked, the murderer states he dumped her at sea.

Its crazy, I think the hair matches the teeth matches.. But then I think.. ehhh thats way to far out there.. Take a look, what do ya think?

Well her face looks good, and Smurfette could certainly be a trafficking victim, but if the murderer admits killing her, then I would be inclined to believe him.

I agree as well, about the murderer I mean, but from what I remember, there was something about that case not adding up. Something about getting a plea deal or something. I do think this is more than likely not her though. I sure hope we all can give her a name soon!

Very interesting, another thing that adds up with her, is I believe I read somewhere that smurfette had a long slim nose.

Crazier things have happend, so I know the age range is way out, but everything fits really well. Timeline and height and weight.

Kathleen Hayley 37 years old, family last spoke to Ms. Haley on Saturday, September 1, 2012.

5’0” tall and 110 lbs

Another article here.

This one is definitely too old to be smurfette. Our girl is most likely 15-17 years old with a maximum of 24 years of age and a minimum of 13 years of age. Dr. Derrick believes if she doesn't fall into the age range of 15-17 she is most likely younger rather than older.

After I posted, I kind of thought about it more, your right, i'm pretty sure teeth can rule that out. :)

Also this young lady. Very tiny stature, terrible photo. Had braces on teeth although they could have been removed and the fact that she required braces suggests that her overbite might have been worse than her photo suggests. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/e/emeterio_maria.html

I have found quite a few with braces that fit perfect other than having braces. Do you think they could have been removed to avoid her being ID'd? If so they would of had to do some extensive work to leave no trace of braces ever being applied.

A quick google search suggests that it would be quite simple to remove some of the metal work yourself using pliers. However, it would require a dentist to remove the bands from the teeth, because of the adhesive used.

Hmmmm, so not impossible for a missing girl to have them removed, but less likely I suppose.

I can tell ya from first hand experience, the glue is no joke. After my daughter had her braces removed, the ortho left some glue on her teeth saying eventually it would wear off. I couldn't believe it. She had a cleaning scheduled that following week, I figure the dentist would be able to remove it. He was not able to remove the glue, I thought, out of all the tools they use, that's must be ridiculous. Likely not removed by someone hoping she wouldn't be identified.

I had seen Tamara Elberston up there on the list, was she ruled out by Dr. Derrick yet?

This is a wierd case, the suspect is/was serving a sentance for rape and can be found on google very easily.

In the stance of trafficking, maybe this girl is a possiblity?

She maybe in Texas?

I don't know if Erika and Alexis are related. Alexis is not listed in NamUs. The Texas missing persons page does not have further information.

I wish we had more info on missing persons teeth.
Amber Cates was actually submitted as a PM for another UID in Texas found in October 2006, the "lavender doe" I believe; she wasn't a match.
Her teeth are interesting
