What was she doing in that homeowner's doorway?

I can see why this is so distressing for her family --

But she's 24.

Could they have cited her for the trespass at least?

It may just be that she retreated there off the street when police tried to approach her.
Being cited for trespass generally requires that the home owner has already asked a person to leave and they have refused, and requires a complaint on their behalf.

I notice she's wearing the exact same outfit as when she disappeared. I wonder if she's even had a hot shower in that time? Where has she been sleeping?

Sydney Marquez, an El Paso native, was reported missing from a Houston shopping center in mid-December. After being located, records show Marquez had been arrested in Montgomery County.

At 12:13 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, Marquez was charged with one count of burglary of inhabitation, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. On Wednesday morning, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Marquez remained in custody.

The Conroe Police Department, the primary arresting agency, told Chron she was taken into custody from a Subway at 3001 N. Fraizer St. in connection with a burglary at a private residence in the 800 block of N. Rivershire Drive.

Interesting. I grew up in that area. I'm wondering if her mental health status hasn't changed since police/EMTs encountered her last. If it has, hopefully Conroe PD or Montgomery County Sheriff's office can assist her in getting back on her meds etc.
