Circumstances of Discovery

Decedent was dropped off by unknown person at Ben Taub Hospital.

Further information via articles says “unidentified individuals” whereas some say one “unidentified person” dropped him off, and very quickly left not leaving any information on Doe or themselves. There is no description of the person that I can find. Investigators believed he died hours early, from “unidentified causes” and are unsure where his facial injuries came from, whether it was an assault or accident. It has been 47 years and those individuals have never come forward to identify him. Seeing as there is no homicide charges, it makes you wonder why they have never come forward, the fact his cause of death is named as “unidentified” is curious within itself. They have fingerprints on file for Doe, and anyone with information is urged to contact Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

UP4660-Ben Taub Hospital

The article states that he was brought to the hospital at 3:30 p.m. He later tried to leave but collapsed in the parking lot, and he died around 5:30 p.m.

It also reports that he had a skull fracture and a crushed chest.

He was wearing a bandage on his head, which suggests that someone may have attempted to treat his injuries. It’s strange that no one went back to check on him.

This other article states the man was wearing brown high heel shoes. Wonder if women’s shoes or 70s disco style men’s platform shoes?
