This is sounding less and less "random crime..." JMO

Do they mean the husband is completely missing or just that he has been absent in the investigation/searches?

Snipped by me:

Missing Woman's Kids Wonder: Where's Dad?

"We found her truck right around the corner of where we live," Alvarado said. "It's perfectly fine, nothing wrong with it, nothing dirty on the inside."

That makes the young woman suspect someone her mother knew is behind her disappearance. That someone she suspects is her own father who also seems to be missing in action.

That doesn't necessarily mean it was someone she knows. There have been several vehicles found in these cases simply parked on the side of the road. Some with belongings inside and some without. The truck Jessica Cain was driving was still in good working condition. There was no sign of a struggle.

Well, the comment from presumably one of the children seems to indicate he is not around at all...

If he is completely missing too, shouldn't searchers be looking for him as well? Could be some sort of murder/suicide or double abduction....

Well, if that is the case, if they find her, they will probably find him...JMO

A good friend of mine, Andy Kahnan posted to his facebook earlier that there will be a search in Houston tomorrow. He's a victim's advocate for the Mayor's office/Houston Police Dept., so I am assuming it's ok to post this here -
"Just left Texas Equusearch's Command Center on the search for Missing Mother of 4 Isabel Alvarado. Search will resume tomorrow starting at 8:00 AM. We need Volunteers----Please come to Bear Creek United Methodist 16000 Rippling Water Drive, Houston--77084----You can arrive anytime."

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, he confessed to killing his wife.

The motive remains unclear, but it was revealed Sunday in court that Carlos said he choked Isabel and burned her body on her aunt's property. He told the aunt he was burning an animal he hit with his vehicle, officials said.
