Ivan Castaneda still says he is innocent and never hurt the children. He appealed, on the grounds that there was not enough evidence to convict him, but the judges affirmed. 2007 court opinion:

Then Ivan must be legally blind and deaf, to live in that home and not see or hear who was trying to kill his kid.
