Not that I have seen or heard , but I'm up in Canada , our news is it reporting on this . Last I heard a judge requested a mental health assessment to be competed in 30 days to test for mental Illness and determine if he's fit to stand trial .
It's been almost two months since , crickets .

Very curious about the bone fragment / zip tie situation and to hear any other details .

"Charles Dean Bryant, 30, was indicted by a Tarrant County grand jury Thursday, according to court records.

"The six-count indictment alleges that Bryant killed and caused serious bodily injury to Jacqueline Vandagriff using a zip tie, a knife or machete, and an unknown object."

Court date: December 14.

update - status conference is set for May 31, 2017. the status conference is the last setting (typically 30 days) before the trial date, so looks like it'll be a July trial. also relevant, the state subpoenaed his military records yesterday.

Thank you for the information. Do you think it will be open to the public to attend the trial? I'm not sure how Collin county works as far as public attending trials.

Any updates.....so little information circulating...I want to hear more about the fire pit. Surely they looked to see if there were fragments from it previously being used. It would be interesting to know if whom ever is investigating this case is also looking into other missing women in the DFW area. This guy was a runner and seemed to run at many parks across the metroplex.

It would not surprise me if the alleged perp's past activities were thoroughly checked out by LE, it is hard to imagine that he became that creepy out of the blue. speculation.imo.

First time reading about this case. It's beyond horrific and difficult to even fathom. This dude is bat **** crazy, but I sure hope he's not declared mentally ill to the point he can't be held fully accountable. He needs to seriously go away.

I read everything I could when this came out....Ahhhh, isn't tomorrow the 1 year? this dude has some serious emo issues...I'm surprised this case didn't pick up more traction.
