:( I don't think I've seen this article posted.

"Parents of missing 14-year-old: We wish we’d heeded warnings"

A few people had told us that something was going on,” said her mother Jan Nixon. “I said, ‘Oh there’s nothing going on, he treats her like his own daughter.’”
http://www.khou.com/news/Parents-of-missing-14-year-old-We-wish-wed-heeded-warnings--188240251.html

It was originally reported that Haylie was moved to her Uncle's home to keep her away from JW.

http://www.khou.com/home/187955651.html

Nixon says White moved into his home on By the Lake Way in Cypress last week. Her family was trying to keep her away from West, who lives next door to her mother.

So, did they, or didn't they know?

Pregnancy?

jmo

oh my, I hope not :(

Perhaps that was the reason behind the recent move from her home to an uncle's to separate the two? The parents said they thought there was nothing going on, but something recently changed their minds . . .

hmmm, I sincerely hope not.

When I was her age, I liked boys who were older.... like 16-18. But I was not allowed to date, and so these crushes eventually went poof. I NEVER would have been interested in a guy in his 30's. And certainly not one who looked like this guy. Ugh.

This guy knows better, there's nothing mentally wrong with him, he knows it's wrong, he just does not care. He's probably flattered that a pretty young woman finds him attractive (although I can't see why.)

No, I'm sure he wouldn't want some man pursuing his own daughters, but that's beside the point in his mind. This is about HIM, and what HE wants. He's disgusting!

I pray that they find this girl before something terrible happens.

I cannot envision any female actually being intimate with this dude. SMH:waitasec:

Exactly! That is what I was thinking. How? How could they unless there is an eyewitness or a recording that was found?

Anyone have any thoughts on how they know this?

Maybe mom found a diary or journal, love notes from him, cards or LE was able to find something on her or his computer. ???

Goonies movie came to mind. I agree...Sloth. It's true, love is blind.

Intimate pictures might be enough plus conversations via text or computer.

I don't know why, but when this case was first posted for some reason I felt it would resolve quickly and Haylie would be found and brought home soon. Never expected she would still be missing now.

I hate going to bed tonight knowing she is somewhere with this guy.. and wondering if things have turned sour yet. When they do, I am afraid of what will happen.

:please:

At 14 years old, years ago in OH, I liked to still ride my bike, I babysat a lot especially during the summer for a lot of people, I played softball that summer on a pick up Catholic team, we were good, visited friends and really liked boys. All at the same time. Who would of guessed. Not sure what order that all happened but that's my memories. I didn't like old men ever back then, wondering if I do now. ha ha, j/k Mr. Dr. Know?

When I grew up, they taught stranger danger. We colored pictures in 1st grade of Mr. Candy Man in his car or Mr. Puppy with the car door open. It's been around since late 50's or earlier. I learned then.

I played with Barbies until I was 12 or 13, but kids are so much 'older' now. It amazes me when I go up to our middle school, which is ages 12 to 14. Its shocking how many of those girls look and act much much older. Its also sad because they are really still so immature emotionally. I thought this would be solved quickly. I am praying this precious girl is OK.

I have posted on this subject before in other threads. As a young girl, I was into older men. For me, there was a great power element to it. It feels powerful when a girl can lead others around by the nose. Magnify that feeling of power by about a hundred when the guy will risk his life and freedom for the chance to be led around.

I was from a normal, middle class home with a very loving, attentive, stay-at-home-mom and a white collar dad. I was an all-A student. I was not abused or neglected during my childhood. I just discovered that I could spin things a little and control grown men, and I liked it.

As an adult looking back on myself, I can say that I knew exactly what I was doing and it was all by choice. I may not have been able to foresee every possible consequence that could have followed, and I'm sure I minimized some of the dangers I exposed myself to, but I absolutely was not groomed or even, in most cases, sought out. In almost every case, I did the seeking and drew in men that probably would not ordinarily have dreamed of looking at a young teen girl.

I can only recall feeling grossed out one time, in the case of a high school teacher. I didn't actually think he'd respond to me due to his position, but he did, and I didn't care for it.

I understand the concept that it's always the older person's fault as a matter of law, and the general consensus that it's the guy's responsibility as the older person to resist, but I know from experience that the girl is not always a victim in the way most people seem to think.

I understand what you are saying....BUT....
NO 14 year old should hold power over a 33 year old adult.
Not a child over a parent...
a student over a teacher...
a girl over a man.

A girl may want to have power over an adult male...but if the adult male is mature, decent and law-abiding, no amount of seduction will work.

Do we know if he has always lived in TX? Military? I don't know why, but hope LA and OK are keeping their eyes peeled. I feel so sorry for this wife and kids. He is totally obsessed with this child and when the fun is over I fear for her. Hope we have good news tomorrow that he's in jail and she is back home with her friends and family. They'll need to keep a close watch on this one....with a shorter leash in the future.

Maybe mom was too afraid to get a RO on him since he lived next door? Yet, I doubt that would have stopped him.

How long has she known him? It is possible he will not hurt her physically, and maybe is afraid to come back. I am hopeful he may leave her off to call home and continue on the run alone.

Makes me so sick that grown men steal children for their perverted ways! I don't understand these kinds of humans and don't want to. So angry!

It is scaring me to check this page hours after my previous check to find no new information. I am afraid something bad may have happened as I do not understand with FBI on this case how a sighting has not been reported or trace has not been found and made public so this child can be found.

Where could they have gone? I am fearing this may not have a good outcome if we do not have an update soon. I won't write what I am thinking in case either one of them reads here. If you are reading this, please let Haylie go home to her family. She is 14 years old. If you care for her, let her go!

He doesn't care for her. He cares for himself. Sick ***************** **** **** *****!!!!! If recovered, she is scarred for life emotionally to the point this will haunt and follow her forever in every decision she makes in life. I'm so sick of these grown men preying on babies . Unforgivable !
The only chance there is of them giving up and coming back is if they run completely out of money and have no resource at all, not one drop of gas or one bite of food ! Then they start stealing and maybe then they get caught .

I was thinking Mexico too. It's only a 5 hour drive to Matamoros. They could have been long gone before a proper AA was issued. I am not positive of border policies anymore. Lots of things have changed since I traveled to Mexico often for day trips. It says here http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_970.html that a passport is required for passage into Mexico, but that documents may not be checked at the border. They would be checked 20-30 km into the country, BUT it doesn't sound like it's always enforced.
"All U.S. citizens entering by land and traveling farther than 20 kilometers into Mexico should stop at an immigration checkpoint to obtain an FMM, even if not explicitly directed to do so by Mexican officials."

I hope this is not what has happened! If he gets scared and leaves her somewhere, it could be more dangerous for her.

I wonder if they had this planned. Only by phone chatting. I doubt if they planned it that they left any evidence, or shall I say he has this planned. SO creepy.... I hope she is found or calls home. I can't get over the fact he has a family and children around her age. I feel not only bad for Haylie but his poor children too.

"If" is what I said.

Remember she did willingly get in his vehicle, laugh at parent trying to rescue her, willingly had a relationship with him. She is 14 years old which is not a baby! She shares responsibility for this situation as it takes two to tango!!

I hope this 33 yo male is prosecuted to the very fullest extent of the law.

Anything less is, IMO, an invitation for others to do the same to our vulnerable young female or male teenagers.
