Jennifer Faith pleaded guilty on Feb. 7 to use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire. She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 26 in a Dallas courtroom. Federal prosecutors are seeking a life sentence, arguing that she is a “cold-blooded murderer” without remorse who has continued a pattern of manipulation from her jail cell.

Yes! I also think JLF probably planned on sticking the funeral expense to Jamie's parents. :eek:

Since there's no mention of the defendant's mother (only her dad), I hope that both mother (grandmother) and her daughter have ceased contact with this sociopath. MOO

*Announcement Hearing (Murder) (@ 9am CT) – TX – James (Jamie) Williams Faith, Jr. (49) (Oct. 9, 2020, fatally shot while walking dog, Dallas) - *Darrin Ruben Lopez (48/now 49) (BF) arrested & charged (1/11/21) & indicted (2/5/21) with murder. Extradited from TN to TX January, 2021. $1M bond.
Trial was set to begin on 2/24/22 continued no further dates.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Rebecca Rutherford is assigned to the case. This federal case will trail his Texas State trial.
*Jennifer Lynne Faith (wife) - Federal case: 2/4/22: Plead guilty to murder-for-hire & will be sentenced on 5/26/22.

This 48 Hours is very interesting. I thought they did a good job with the bio segment on Jamie.

I agree. I had actually never heard of this case until I saw it last night. Wow. Right away I suspected the wife though. So evil and senseless! I can’t imagine how hard it is to do those interviews as his friends and say anything kind about her at all.

I’ve seen several comments here and on that 48hrs about how Lopez was influenced, brainwashed, or somehow his brain injury could contribute to this but I believe that he and her share equal responsibility. His injured and influenced brain got him from Tenn to Dallas with weapon ready to commit murder. She is evil but she isn’t alone in that.

I don't doubt that<modsnip> influenced special forces Lopez but there comes a time when driving 600+ miles cross-country, when he was all alone with his thoughts, he had time to think about what he was setting out to do when he arrived in Dallas. MURDER.

Nope, he was complicit in this murder 100%.

Also, Lopez was pretty savvy on his phone all day/night texting/sexting with JLF. He had months where he could have sleuthed Jamie where it would have been clear that the story from JLF wasn't adding up. He could have easily warned Jamie that his wife wanted him dead.

He did not help Jamie and he knew that he'd be leaving his children fatherless when he was caught.

What baffles me is that 48 Hours uncovered that she did this before with her 2nd husband (Jamie was 3rd marriage)! Told him her first husband physically and sexually abused her. So WTF is going through her head? It wasn't anything against Jamie if she's tried this before she even met him. Her first pawn just happened to be less subject to manipulation than her second.

She’s a sociopath, IMO. She’ll do anything for an easy buck and to get ahead and feel good.
