Here's the name of the person being held. Also, it mentions three different vehicles being searched?

Oh wow... :(

I just noticed... this man is being held by ICE investigators. I wonder if he was here illegally or if he was planning on trafficking her and something went wrong (hence the different vehicles and no sign of trauma)? Maybe this person sedated her to transport her yet he accidentally gave her too much and she OD'd. The only reason I'm thinking this is b/c of no outward sign of trauma/COD according to reports.

ETA: About ICE

ICE's primary mission is to promote homeland security and public safety through the criminal and civil enforcement of federal laws governing border control, customs, trade, and immigration. The agency has an annual budget of more than $5.7 billion dollars, primarily devoted to its two principal operating components - Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).

That sounds like a real possibility. I noticed the ICE also, makes me sick to even think about it.

Police Say Abducted Oklahoma Girl Found Dead in Texas Was Stabbed

A 10-year-old Oklahoma City girl who was abducted from a relative's home in Texas was stabbed to death, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office.

A person of interest, identified as 23-year-old Jose Concepcion Sifuentes, was being detained on an immigration hold and questioned by police as a person of interest Monday. Sifuentes was at a party at the relative's home Saturday night, the last night Jasmen was seen.

Yet another sick, sick, sick, sick individual that was walking our streets near our children.

RIP Jasmen. You didn't deserve this

Rest peacefully Jasmen and may justice be switft and very severe. Am getting sick and tired of these senseless killings of innocents and treating children like they are garbage ... sick of it.

Another innocent lost - rest dear child rest.

The medical examiner has determined that Jasmen Gonzalez died from a stab wound to the chest.

Carrollton authorities said that they have detained a man in connection with the murder of the 10-year-old girl.

At a Monday news conference, police said Jose Sifuentes, 23, was named as a “person of interest.” Sifuentes lives in Carrollton, but is not a United States citizen. He is being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

This is so very sad. I saw Jasmen's poster at a store yesterday in my neighborhood. I stopped to say a prayer for her and was hoping this would not turn out this way.

"Police believe she was sexually assaulted. She was found with her pants and underwear pulled down and with no shirt on, according to a police affidavit."

snipped

I wish I could say I am shocked by the details that are now coming out, but I'm not. I am heartbroken for Jasmen, though, that she was treated in such a horrible way, and murdered by one so selfish and evil.
I had the gut feeling this was a sexually motivated crime when I first read about it because of Jasmen's age, and the circumstances of the case. It just had that ugly aura around it.....a predator close to the family with an opportunity.... and he took it.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one here who was having those thoughts right away, and hoping we were wrong this time. It just makes me so sick to hear the outcome of the search for this little girl.

I wish there was some way to stop these things from happening.

Please tell me that if he is found to be responsible for this child's rape and murder that he isn't just sent back to his country. Will he be tried in Texas if he committed the crime there?

I hope so....since Texas has the DP. It sounds like there may be DNA evidence.

"There was no trauma on the body. There is nobody in custody at present," said Lt. Doug Mitchell."

"Jasmen Gonzalez Stabbed to Death, Medical Examiner Says
Police Intervew 'Person of Interest'
Updated: Monday, 31 Oct 2011, 1:32 PM "

"Police initally told FOX 4 on Sunday that there was no visible sign of trauma to her body."

* Graphic below *

Just wondering...how do you go from 'no visible trauma' to a stab wound to the chest ?
Aren't stab wounds pretty visible and messy ?

So sorry for her family....the article doesn't say that the alleged person of interest was related. It seems like people often get killed by a person somehow known to them. Not all the time, I know.
RIP, Jasmen !!

I'm semi local. The local news Chanel wfaa was saying on Facebook that they had interviewed her principal and he was "surprisingly candid" they were supposed to do a story at 10. I'll watch to link up a written story when it's available. Poor girl. So horrible. I hope they've got the right guy. So disgusting.
