GUILTY TX - Jelena Sriraman, 30, Tyler, 31 Oct 2012

Thank heavens he is safe! This is wonderful news,Thank you lord for hearing our prayers and protecting this little guy. This gives your heart such a big smile inside just to know "he is safe, and coming home"

Now i am curious about his mom,it was reported she had not been seen for several days hope she is somewhere safe?

Tyler Police got a call aroumnd 11:30 p.m. from the West Monroe Police Department. Calvert was pulled over for a regular traffic stop in a 2000 Buick LeSabre with fake license plates. He started a slow roll then started a short high-speed pursuit which led to a minor wreck. West Monroe police say Calvert had a gun in both his lap and the backseat of the car where Lucas was unharmed in a car seat.

There was no struggle according to police, but officers did have to break a window to get Calvert out of the vehicle. DPS, Texas Rangers, the FBI and U.S. Marshal's were all involved in the search. The investigation is still ongoing at this time. It is unknown when Calvert will be extradited back to Texas.

Actually, Calvert was captured here in West Monroe, La.. Little Lucas was in the back seat of the vehicle, and was fine. Calvert was driving with a gun in his lap and led LE on a short slow speed chase. Thank God LE got him!

There are a lot of people by that last name here in West Monroe, and my family knew some Calvert's who owned a pharmacy for years and years. I don't know if he has any relatives living here or not.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about the capture in the morning news. Ironically; there was a rally held for Domestic Violence in Monroe yesterday.

GB Little Lucas. I'm so very sorry his Mom was violently murdered. I'm going to have to go back and read the details of what happened.

ETA: It was not actually a high speed chase. Not like you see on TV, but speeding.

Thank God the little guy came out unharmed! This could've ended worse than it already is.

So thankful little Lucas is safe!
What a jerk to drive fast and crash his car with his son in the car.
So glad he didn't shoot the officer, himself or Lucas when he was caught.
Glad Lucas and his sister are together again and safe.
Good job LE!

"[He] said he was going to go out in a blaze of glory or something to that effect," Terrell said. "And he did make a statement to officers that if given the chance he was going to try to escape or shoot somebody or kill himself."
