From the CBS link above, Jennifer speaking of ex-boyfriend Ralph:

"She did tell me one time that she did not like the way that he treated her when they were together intimately," Loren says. "That he wanted to strangle her while they were having sex and she did not like that."

I just wish they would just go for it and try Ralph Sepulveda. There is no doubt in anyone's mind he is the killer. All these years have gone by and he is still a free man. The case isn't getting better. It's time to try this guy and give Jennifer justice and her family some closure. A circumstantial case can be built and a jury can be convinced. He needs to spend the rest of his miserable life in prison or be executed for what he did. IF he is never indicted, I hope he is haunted every second of everyday for the rest of his miserable life of Jennifer's cries for her life. Such a tragic and sad case. I read the police are pursuing new leads recently and I'm not sure if this means new suspects because it's obvious Jennifer wouldn't have opened her door in the middle of the night to some stranger. The idea of new leads doesn't excite me because as far as I see it, Ralph Sepulveda is with out any doubt her killer. Still, I am glad they aren't giving up on getting justice for Jennifer.

A link to Ralph Sepulveda's Facebook and an article with a couple shots of him.

Cold, black, dark, empty eyes. Imagine seeing these and and getting choked out while in bed like he did to Jennifer. I am glad she kicked his 🤬🤬🤬 out of the apt. I shudder to think what Jennifer went through.

''The Cold Justice team banded to learn why a young Montana woman on the fast track to becoming a celebrated news journalist was brutally murdered in her Texas apartment more than 20 years ago.

Watch Cold Justice on Oxygen Saturdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Oxygen App.
Kelly Siegler and Detective Jeff Cowan of the Abilene Police Department (A.P.D.) in Texas headed to Kalispell, Montana, to sit with the relatives of murder victim Jennifer Servo. Servo, an up-and-coming investigative journalist with big dreams, was only 22 when she was found dead in the bathtub of her Abilene apartment, about 150 miles west of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

“Everybody really liked her,” Servo’s sister, Christa Handford, told Cold Justice, airing Saturdays at 8/7c on Oxygen.''

Just saw this case on Cold Justice-- Kelly Siegler indicated that the DA was looking at bringing charges against Ralph Sepulveda- I checked google and so far no charges have been brought. I don't think there is enough evidence to bring charges. Anybody think there is evidence enough for charges? He was obsessed and he acted weird, but is that enough for case against him? I don't see it. I hope they find more evidence--- Thoughts?

I was just going to comment on this as I recently rewatched the Cold Justice segment that concluded her killer is her former boyfriend, RS, and was so hoping he would be indicted because I've always thought he was the perpretator but it doesn't look the case has gone anywhere. The Cold Justice episode is about a year old now and there has been no indictment.

I think this case is a win win really. I do wish the detectives would have used the opportunity of flying out to meet RS at his nice home in Hawaii more diligently. He was finally talking about the case but they only asked him a couple of fairly insignificant questions and he backed off. It was waisted opportunity to get some kind of admission out of him. They could have asked, "Is it true you choked her during sex?", "Were you following Jennifer in a car the night she was murder?", "Did you love her?", etc., but I'm surprised RS even showed on camera or at least that he didn't shut the interview down right away, but it's really sad to know he's living the dream in Hawaii, far away from the place he killed Jennifer.

He was probably seething that night, after seeing Jennifer with Travis, and, later that night, knocked on her door. Jennifer probably only opened it slightly ajar before he gave her a sob story to get let in, and, Jennifer, while apprehensive, probably gave in until he told Jennifer he wanted to rekindle the relationship and that's what pushed the red button—when she rejected him.

Cold Justice mentioned her finger nails were broken but they never covered whether there were any scratches on RS or what skin cells were located under her fingernails that she used to defend herself in this brutal attack; the killer was in a rage and Jennifer fought so hard she broke a fingernail. What, if any, DNA was under her fingernails? This case should have been prosecuted—just compare it to other cases with the evidential equivalence or less.

I really do hope he faces justice.

I just don't see they have enough evidence to charge him--- you are right about her fingernails- they didn't follow up with that issue regarding DNA- the other thing is- many prosecutors won't prosecute unless they have close to a "sure thing"-- they hate losing. Why do you think the case is a win-win? By the way, this case made me think of Jodi Husentruit-- I wish Cold Justice would investigate that one - though I do think that case has been thoroughly investigated with no one being charged. I will always believe that JV caused her to disappear. He was so obsessed with her-
