Houston family desperately searching for missing 2-year-old boy

A Houston family is desperate to find a toddler they say has been missing for nearly 24 hours.

The Houston Police Department confirmed that there is an active missing persons case.

Favis Knox said she’s been walking around the neighborhood desperate to find her 2-year-old grandson Jeremiah Lambert.

She said Lambert was last seen outside of Wesley Square Apartments at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Knox said she believes someone who knows the family took him and drove off, and there’s been no trace of him since.

Officials said Lambert was taken from his home by Prentis Curtis in a blue 2010 Dodge Nitro, Texas License Plate #KMX-4767.

“I’m worried about his safety, I’m worried about where he (is). I know he hasn’t (eaten),” Knox said.

The family filed a police report and spent the afternoon handing out flyers in Houston's Third Ward. They don’t where Lambert is or who he is with now, but they want to know he is safe. www.click2houston.com/news/houston-family-desperately-searching-for-missing-2-year-old-boy

People are talking telling him to take the baby back on his FB..

Actually, I think the person that made that video put 10/24 by mistake- maybe it should have been 11/24?

This is what I read:

A little confusing - this article says he was reported missing when the man failed to return:
The 2-year-old boy, Jeremiah Lambert, was last seen sporting jeans, cowboy boys and a striped shirt when a man took him around 10 a.m. Saturday in the 7400 block of Calhoun Road. He was reported missing later that night, at around 7 p.m, when the man failed to return, according to Houston police.

Is Curtis his father?

Doesn’t sound like it. From same article:
The boy’s grandmother, Favis Knox, spent Sunday evening searching the street for signs of Curtis, who was known to the family. She said the child’s mother trusted him and that he was at their home to fix the brakes on the vehicle described in the Amber Alert.

“He asked, ‘Jeremiah, do you want to go outside,’” Knox said. “He stole my grandson.”

Ah, thanks - I didn't see the last sentence due to a video being in the way. Mind you, "known to the family" doesn't exclude him as the father, as we've seen in other cases.

Now that the media outlets are picking up the story we may see more information. Poor little guy!
