Family members and police have identified the woman they believe was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend at gunpoint.

Jessica Sanchez is still missing more than 24 hours after her alleged kidnapping.

The Devine Police Department says that Jorge Jaramillo climbed through a window into her house in the 300 block of Fox Run Drive. He then allegedly forced Sanchez at gunpoint to leave the house with him, using her vehicle to escape the area.

"They had been together for about 7 years and separated on Memorial [Day] after an incident occurred." Santiago Carrillo, Jessica's brother-in-law told KENS 5.

Devine Police confirmed Sanchez had an emergency protection order against Jaramillo after a recent incident involving a knife.

"The only thing I could fathom is he could not take not being with her and so he found a breaking point," Carrillo continued.

Sanchez's three daughters were inside the home at the time of the kidnapping early Sunday morning but were unharmed, family members say.

Police located Sanchez's vehicle in the 6000 block of County Road 4514 in the Pearson area with her cell phone inside. Authorities conducted a search of the area with the help of a DPS helicopter and tracking dogs alongside police officers and Medina County deputies, but neither were found.

"Please if anyone has seen or heard anything can you please let the Police Department know," Carrillo pleaded. "We have a big support group as far as family and friends go but all prayers are much needed at this time."

Jaramillo is wanted by police for Aggravated Kidnapping, authorities say.

Police ask the public to keep an eye out for the Sanchez or Jaramillo but to not approach the suspect directly. Instead, they ask anyone who sees Sanchez or Jaramillo contact police at 9-1-1 or 830-663-4403.

Sanchez's sister, Blasa Carrillo, said the family is holding onto hope that Jaramillo might still let Sanchez go home safely to her three daughters, ages 9 and 15. So they're holding a prayer vigil Tuesday night at her Devine home, from which she was taken, in the hopes of tugging at the conscience of Jaramillo or anyone helping him.

Carrillo said Memorial Day, he allegedly held a knife to Sanchez's throat. Police said Jaramillo was arrested for aggravated assault and they acquired a magistrate's emergency order of protection.

Police said they were tipped off about 8:48 a.m., when Jaramillo's ex-wife contacted them and said she had dropped Jaramillo off at a park earlier that morning and that a family member's gun was missing.

My older niece said that she heard the arguing back and forth, silence, arguing back and forth," Carrillo said. "And then finally she said that Mom had gone into, basically, almost saying goodbye.

Then he said, 'Do not call the police or I will, you know, kill your mom,'" Carillo said, adding that Jaramillo shot the gun inside the house.

• He then apparently forced Sanchez into his vehicle, which was later found near Pearson, 10 miles from Sanchez’s residence, with her cellphone inside.
• JS's sister said JS's daughters saw everything, from the gun to being put into the laundry room, to hearing the gun go off and mom saying pretty much goodbye.
• According to Devine Police Lieutenant Christopher Andrews, JJ’s ex-wife discovered her gun was missing and went down to the police station to file a report and to claim JJ had possibly taken it.
• Lt. Andrews stated, “She stated she was unaware that he had taken it prior to her dropping him off at one of our city parks, which happens to be in close proximity to where Miss Sanchez lives.”
  
• The DPD, Texas DPS, Texas DOC and the MCSO are forming a large search party, scouring the area on foot, with scent tracking K-9 units, and by helicopter.

Thank you. I think that article is wrongabout the vehicle though. This part:

It makes more sense to me that if his ex dropped him off near JS's home, that he forced her into her (JS's) vehicle as reported in post #1.

This is roughly where her vehicle was found: Google Maps (6000 block of County Road 4514 in the Pearson area)

Where did they go from there? Did someone pick them up or did he have his vehicle waiting there? Where did his ex pick him up from?

I hope he lets her go too!

Devine PD still searching for kidnapped mother and armed suspect – The Devine News

• JJ entered the home about 8:48 Sunday morning (prior reports just said early Sunday morning.)
• “We pinged the victim’s phone, and located the vehicle near the railroad tracks and the old silos in Pearson,” said Devine PD Chris Andrews.
• JS's vehicle was found locked, LE forced entry and found her phone.
• “We are not sure why they abandoned the vehicle, but we think somebody may have picked them up due to the fact that helicopter and dogs did not locate them,” Devine Police Lieutenant Andrews stated.
• “Jaramillo has been living in the Devine area, but we know he does have ties in Michigan in the Hart or Detroit area, where he attended high school,” said Lieutenant Andrews.
• JJ was arrested this past May for Aggravated Assault at JS's home when he held a pocket knife to her throat.
• At that time, he posted bond and an emergency protective order was issued.
