There is an interesting post here http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/2010/12/jonathan_foster_12_have_you_se.php has anyone from there heard anything about this?

I followed the links to find he was arrested. That is ONLY one REGISTERED sex offender accounted for; Who knows where all the others have been.

OMGoodness the "Aunt" just said the reason it took so long to get the story out was that it was thought to be a runaway. argh

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7866784 Comment said (I'll paraphrase because we are not allowed to paste comments):

Jonathans's aunt tried to report him as missing. The Houston police department considers anyone over the age of TEN to be a runaway, and thus the investigation could not be initiated until Monday. I guess that's 72 hours.

To take a child on Christmas Eve there should be a special place in hell for that person!

Ask her who called the police that he was missing and ask her what time did they call.

A different Aunt reported him missing, not sure of the time yet. I am not sure that the women that are posting realize how important every detail is.

That would make sense because he'd be wearing his shoes and he had already picked up the video game.

His AUNT reported him missing... okay, now I'm having an issue with that. If a mother tried to report him missing and got told he was just a runaway... and the Aunt had to call to try and push harder... that's an issue. Mom should have been at the police department, or the news station immediately.

I still want to know where Dad is and why he's not involved.

So what if they thought he ran away? He is still a child in danger, there should have been an immediate response, considering the situation. He is only 12, he just returned to live with Mom and her hubby one month ago, and he missed Christmas, for goodness sake! Where could a child that young run to in a brand new strange neighborhood, that he would not be in danger? Did the police not even talk to the relatives long enough to realize that he had not even lived with either of his parents for the last five years?

Please don't let it be true that LE sat around waiting for Monday while someone had all weekend to cover up and get rid of evidence!

More info about the phone call has come out
"I said, 'This is Angela. Is my son there?' And she said, 'Is your mama named Angela?' And he said yes and the phone went dead," she recalled.

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7866784&status=ok

Oh my, this... if this call is true... this is a nightmare.

I really hope that drugs are not involved here, no past debts in that sense. I don't know why someone would call for confirmation like that and then hang up.

what made angela ask if her son was there to the caller? How did she know the call had anything to do with her son? was there a previous threat? ...wth...consider me completely confused at this point....

The only thing I can make out about the phone call is this scenario:

The child was taken to a house, and there are two people or more living in the house. Maybe someone else in the house tried to help him by calling his mother, and then the phone was snatched from the person helping and it was hung up.

what made angela ask if her son was there to the caller?

Gut or mother instinct, I would assume. I know if anyone says that I have a personal call on line such-and-such at work and it's an emergency the first thing I think is... "OMG, what wrong/happened to my child?"

That threw me a loop also!

More / new info:

Video at link also...interesting watch...the reporter says she just got off the phone w/ homicide detectives????

From here: http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7866784&status=ok

Police have been interviewing family members separately. The FBI is now assisting on the case.

Jonathan hasn't been seen since Friday afternoon. He was home playing video games when his stepfather says he stopped in, but Jonathan was gone just 25 minutes later when his mother came home from work.

eta...i hope the "home playing video games" info is just bad reporting???

oh... i didnt know they said the call was an emergency... in that case I agree... I would say is something wrong.... tho not thinkin I would ask if my child was there because I would know where my child is.

I'm guessing the police found his shoes on 43rd and shepard. If so that means the boy put up a fight and lost his shoes, also would lead police to believe he was kidnapped. He could be anywhere!
