I was wondering if there was ever a rash of animal burnings in areas where she had lived.

I thought the same thing a few days ago, like she practiced it before, or curious at one point.

Good point! Many hire under the table and can't be bothered if they are felons or even wanted.
It comes down to greed and keeping costs down.
You'd be surprised real estate companies will hire known RSO to manage apartments that have master keys to everyone apartments.
scary huh?
I knew an apartment manager that would steal money and small objects from tenants apts but they couldn't prove it. But, he bragged about it. The police refused to do anything under $500. He had legal rights to enter so couldn't press charges for breaking and entry.

Absolutely nothing surprises me anymore. My 15 yr. old granddaughter was raped by a man who had worked at the high school where my daughter attended. He worked as a janitor. He was already a sexual predator after raping a 13 yr. old girl. The high school hired him anyway without any background check at all. Doesn't this make you feel warm and fuzzy???????

Did the DA announce they are seeking a DP? I know she's been charged with capital murder but that does not automatically mean DP.

Well, I surely hope that the death penalty is on the table for whoever murdered this little boy. If this crime doesn't deserve the death penalty, nothing does. IMO.

What kind of drugs do you smoke or inhale that make your voice raspy because she must not have sounded like that xmas eve or AD might have recognized her voice.

I'm from a small town. They cuff you for everything. Even the kids(teens) when they bust an underage party.

No, and I am so sorry for your poor granddaughter.

So many links at Nelson's home, yet she rode away in the backseat of investigator's car as if they were going out for a burger & a movie! Way back in thread #3, I couldn't believe she was a suspect, much less under arrest because she was not cuffed for transport. A big girl like her "loose" in the car... unusual, careless, foolish! I was even more stunned to learn she was, indeed, more than just a suspect, but a pro-boxer at one time. Am I the only person still questioning the cops? Isn't in SOP for anyone transported in LE vehicles to be restrained?

When I watched the video of the cops at her home when she got in the backseat.

If you watch it fully there is one point when all cops had their backs turned, and one was standing in the door way with his back turned on MN that was in the house. If she had a gun, I hate to think what would have happened. I said way back that the cops were lucky.

strach, ty for your post. Are burns routine when handling the torch sort of freestyle? Does he wear gloves and or goggles? Are there fumes from the chemicals that might be overwhelming?

A welding torch used without any metals would not give off much of a smell just extremely intense heat.

I noticed this as well and thought at the time that they were being very lax about their own safety.

I don't know if they would give you a "raspy" voice, but you can smoke Meth, Crack and Pot for starters.

but whatever you were welding/torching would give off a smell as it burns?

I am not looking for salacious information with my questions regarding the welding, guys-I like the angle that she might have burned herself, and I am not familiar with the equipment associated with being a welder.

Absolutely!!!!!!! I find it hard to believe that neighbors did not notice the smell of human flesh burning.........:waitasec:

IANAL, but it's my understanding that a capital murder charge in TX means if a defendant is found guilty of capital murder, DP or life sentence is decided during the penalty phase.

So essentially if a perp is charged w/ Cap.Murder, then it could be said the state is seeking the DP.

I'm on the same page as you. I know nothing about it. and I'm also curious as to what would happen if someone used this equipment in a smaller area, such as a living room in an apartment? What would it leave behind? anything?

I've watched the vid. where she comes out & walks to the car & gets in it - I don't see any big burns....at least from what's visible in that news video.

Thought this might be a good article for some to read if interested in learning more about how she became to be who she is.

http://ushealths.net/2011/01/how-trauma-shapes-sexuality/

I've read or heard on oprah once that a young girl who was raped usually will either become promiscuous, avoid any sex at all for years and years, or become gay.

I myself went the 1st option, it was part of me mentally blaming myself and feeling cheap. I actually remember thinking when a boy hit on me (about 3 years after the rape) I would think in my head "You want to _____, I show you a _____. I mean I was out there! Never had any strange fantasies though.
