I wonder if he was still on medication, if he was in the habit of getting it for himself? Maybe, he could have grabbed the wrong pills or something.

My almost 10 yr old does his own meds "with reminders LOL" so at 12 it's very possible he got his own, plus he was only on concerta when he left Renee's house, which is easy to get himself. My almost 10 yr old does it 3 times a day several meds, different doses each time (morning noon and evening). So it's possible.

HOUSTON - A source in the Houston Police Department says a woman is expected to be charged with capital murder in connection to the disappearance of a 12-year-old boy.

The woman, now in custody, is an acquaintance of Jonathan Foster’s stepfather. A second person, a male, is being searched for in connection with the boy's disappearance
An Amber Alert was issued for Foster following his disappearance from his family’s north Houston apartment home on Christmas Eve

Well, now that there is another suspect, maybe the drug theory isn't so good.

I am really hoping that my gut is wrong on the drugs but I don't think that it is. Just as I and other posters have noted...the boy for 12 years had lived with other relatives, never the mother (my gut says she perhaps wasn't all together?), then has been begging according to the grandmother to go live with his mother...does so last month and within a month is likely deceased? How can drugs or some other lifestyle issue not be in play here? Another poster, a resident of Houston, mentioned Jonathan's neighborhood as having lots of issues with crime and drugs...It is just, I am sure Angela is a good person, and I am truly very sorry for her family...more sorry than I can say, but why was he living with everyone under the sun but her in his short life? Save for one solid month?

Sorry. I just don't understand. It is my belief that behavior is a direct correlation of one's success in life, including their parenting...did she just now get up on her feet? After 12 years? I just find it very odd.

:) Again, this post was not meant to upset anyone or to cause anyone anguish...I just don't get why Jonathan wasn't living with his mother until very recently. It makes me wonder about the stepdad and the company the mother and the stepdad both keep. A lot.

And while posting this apparently, the suspect is a friend of the stepdad...AIEEE!!!!

A twelve year old is a little too old to get into drugs. IMO

Renee would be able to give us an idea of whether Jonathan is the type of child who would do something like that. Whether he is impulsive or reserved.

Either way, he's not too old to inhale the vapors from someone making them.

If he walked in while they were being made and was exposed to them. Maybe became sick, or got burned. Or maybe even found the area they were being made when there wasn't people there. Checked it out because it looked kind of like a science experiment or something. (I don't know if he would investigate something like that if he didn't know what it was. Again, Renee would be helpful there.)

I don't think anyone is suggesting that he accidentally took them thinking they were candy or something. Maybe accidentally grabbing the wrong ones and overdosing if step dad used one of his bottles for something else.

Could the things in the first bag of evidence be fireplace pokers or fireplace tools?
They looked a lot like long scewers that you use for grilling shish kabobs or something. Also, I'm not so sure I'm on board in regards to meth being cooked in that home. I would think more along the lines that the body was burned there, in the fireplace before being put into the culvert. IMO burning a body in your home would be a "Health Code Violation".

Someone made a suggestion along the same lines of what I was thinking - perhaps JF stumbled across something/saw something or someone tried to get him to go with them, and he called his mother. RVW (raspy voiced woman) decided to go along with this, and got on the phone to talk to mom. Once she did (and by asking JF if A was his mother's name, he knew she was talking to his mother), she secretly hung the phone up, and pretended she was still talking to A - so JF went willingly with her.

The question would be WHY this woman would want to hurt him. Payback for something (for example, family had caused some sort of trouble for her/her boyfriend/her child)? A former/current jealous girlfriend of the step dad? Unpaid drug debt? Kidnapping for ransom gone bad? There has to be a motive of some sort.

Searching for another man.....hmmmm Unless they are hoping he turns himself in how about picture? sketch? name?

OK so an acquaintance of the step father. Motive guys? What would it be? You don't just go around kidnapping children and burning their bodies without a reason.

Sorry folks, I was talking about getting into drugs by accident. By 12, ADHD or not they're not going to accidently swallow pills...IMO. My seven year old grandson has severe ADHD and Asperger's but he knows what he's doing.

Capital murder = death penalty possible? Is this correct?

Let's move away from speculation about a child - who is a victim who has loved ones on this thread - being on drugs. Prescribed drugs? Fine. Illegal drugs? Not without a link.

IF........IF SD has some low-life friends and SD complained to them, whined about how this "brat" is ruining his marriage, or how A is paying way too much attention to Jonathan and SD isn't getting any time with her, or SD isn't allowed to discipline Jonathan.....a number of complaints with maybe an added "Damn I wish that kid was outta here!"

Whos to say what low-life people would do to help out their 'friend'...as in, help out SD with this situation.

Just thinking out loud.

IMO, the act of burning a child's body after murder will point to sexual abuse.

You know, public tips are a good portion of what police call "good ole fashion police work" so yes, a tip might be nice. A sketch? A description? Maybe they are trying not to taint the case somehow? Or witness testimony?

Grandma......I don't know where to start. Missing guy is an RSO, drugs, accident, we are missing something.

There would have been a meth squad there in white suits had meth been being made in the home. I think the whole "meth" thing is way off base. JMO
