Rapides Parish men suspected of killing of witness at Amber Guyger's trial

Oct 8, 2019

Dallas police say three Rapides Parish men are suspected in the killing of a man who testified at the trial of a Dallas police officer who killed her upstairs neighbor.

Assistant chief Avery Moore identified the suspects as Thaddeous Charles Green, 22, Jacquerious Mitchell, 20, and Michael Diaz Mitchell, 32. Jacquerious Mitchell is in custody at Parkland hospital, Moore said.

Mitchell will be charged with capital murder.

Moore said they are from the Alexandria, Louisiana area (although court records say they are from Cheneyville) and that investigators believe they were in Dallas to buy drugs from Joshua Brown, 28.

[...]

News Channel 5 ran the names through the Rapides Parish Clerk of Court's system. Thaddeous Charles Green is currently awaiting trial for burglary of a dwelling in a 2016 case. Green actually has a pretrial set in Rapides Parish for Wednesday on that case. The only other prior listed for him is from 2015 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. That case was dismissed.

Michael Diaz Mitchell has one prior listed in the clerk's office for simple battery. That case was dismissed in 2015. There is nothing listed in the clerk's system for Jacquerious Mitchell.

Wow!
Here is a link to Schedule 1 drugs
List of Schedule 1 Drugs
I had to look it up because I was confusing it with Class A's in system here which are heroin cocaine and all hard drugs.
So Thaddeous did NOT get the bag of weed after all?

That was me mixing up drug classifications...
Clarified in post #1168
Gotcha. But THC could have been in the back pack too, right?
Did you see the video of JB rolling the joint? If so, did you see him put something else in with the pot. And he also put a liquid on it when he finished. I thought it was maybe glue, but I've never seen anyone glue a joint. Maybe because it was so fat??

Yeah, I watched it closely and he seemed to be using exotic expensive leaves to roll it, the leaves aren't drugs but used occasionally for rolling fine tobacco.. I did not notice the liquid.. But I do know that liquid THC can be used in a cigarette by daubing the outside of the cigarete with it.. And he had cartridges of thc, possibly that. Also known as hash oil, pretty expensive... It comes in tiny vials, people used to use a match stick to 'daub' the joint or cigarette.
It's very strong, dark in colour though.
I tried it once,in the early 70's and was stuck on the steps of a monument for about 6 hrs.. unable to move as the cobbestones had transformed themselves into fish and the journey was considered too dangerous and slippy. Lesson Learned.

Wait --- I'm pretty sure it was JB's weed!! :p

NOTE: Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, marijuana) is still considered a Schedule 1 drug by the DEA, even though some U.S. states have legalized marijuana for personal, recreational use or for medical use.

Oh my goodness. Glad you survived!
What he rolled looked like a cigar. I just wondered if he could have still been under the effects when he came in contact with the three guys.

I think so too.
He was stoned out of his brains, I reckon.
Big side effect can be paranoia... though he was obviously a habitual user and they're not always affected in this way.. but yeah, it's very likely he overdosed that joint.

First reading I thought class A was Schedule 1, second reading, I only saw marijuana.. Third reading, I saw they're all included.. it doesn't specify which he had.. I wonder whether they raided his home and found the bag and everything else too?

Remember we were discussing his ID being missing? They may well have taken it to get out of his parking lot which was locked? But , he just walked downstairs to do the deal, didn't need ID for that. I reckon now the police ID'd him immediately but didn't release that ID publicly because the perps would know the heat was on bigtime if they did.
Then Merrit goes and blows the story and in the process made it more difficult to capture the perps.. it was an appalling breach and the ADA who confirmed it will probably be in trouble too.
Merritt has left a trail of destruction..

And I just saw an article on Google that now the NAACP is involved.

They are but another police agency investigating will lead to chaos.. Louisiana PD are co-operating closely with DPD, Feds also in there...
There are bad cops in dPD but they will be weeded out. Hall is a smart woman.
They're doing great work with this..
Now, I'm reluctant to praise anybody in case I wake up tomorrow to find something shocking.. I don't see any wrongdoing in this case...
