Agreed, I don't think anyone was given enough evidence to accurately label her a good cop or a bad cop. But, she's in prison for 10, an "entrepreneur" is dead, 3 men are being charged with capital murder, and Dallas is on the verge of riots. I can't call them race riots. I don't know what they'd be, class injustice riots?

Any of our members in Dallas, can you give us a better sense of what's going on? The crowd at the committee meeting looked split about 50/50 to me on race.

There was a rowdy crowd at the Community Police Oversight Board meeting. But to say that Dallas is on the verge of riots would be an overstatement. I was in the car today for an hour and had local news radio on. They didn't even mention the meeting, but did report on new developments in the JB murder-that a second suspect had been arrested, that more is being learned of JB's criminal record, etc.

I’m reading it as it has not been confirmed by LE that JB is a drug dealer or gang member.

Yes its in my post reply to Kitty who felt he wasn't a big dealer or a gang member. I said at this point we dont know if either of what she felt was true. That's all.

Imo, the circumstances shows JB was a major drug dealer because no one travels 300 miles to buy their drugs from a specific drug pusher unless they are a major dealer.

I've thought about the use of 'retaliation theories' in murder cases. I think it's always something to put out there WITHOUT getting carried away with it...til all the facts are out. I think investigaters work their way out from those known to be closely involved with the victim to other people... gradually broadening the circle of suspects. I'm very impressed with the Dallas Police, but you can't really eliminate anyone til the facts are all out there.
A minor example of retaliation would be if someone complains to a fast food place about their food being cold. And the next time you go it tastes like dirt was put in your ice cream. I know it's somewhat funny, but if I do complain at fast food I don't go back for two years, til the workers get changed.
And, of course, there's crazy Drew Peterson types.
I'm thrilled they found the perps, though. And as I repeated before, I don't think anyone doubts JB's testimony despite it.
It's very cool though that everyone here really wants justice...not street justice.

I shall check, but my first guess would be, no. It seems that people uninterested in MJ, like myself, are still uninterested. People who are interested, predictably, end up in the dispensaries and migrate away from street dealers. Most crimes are black-market related, as stoners probably peacefully sleep at home.

There are two components in MJ. CBD does not contribute to crimes. High-potency THC may make some people psychotic and paranoid. But again, this is something people can now be educated about because the substance is legal here. One can ask, “if you buy MJ, do you ever look at the label? Stick with low-content THC”. Before legalization of this stuff, such conversations would have been impossible.

Some dealers will undoubtedly follow the money and move on to harder drugs. But it might help. Idk.

Well-known statistic from the Netherlands indicates that with legalization of MJ, one thing changed. MJ stopped being the gateway drug.

I was thinking along the lines that the three from Louisiana were perhaps lower level drug dealers and were buying enough to sell. I don’t know anything about the hierarchy of drug dealing or if this could even be a possibility.

The article you're referencing for some reason interjected BR's Sept 2018 death by AG, and the Nov 2018 shooting at Dallas Club where Kendall Morris was indicted for murder of N Diggs (for allegedly handing gun to unnamed suspect shooter).

No, Kendall Morris was not charged for another murder, and did not cross state line to Louisiana. He's still only charged with N Diggs death outside the Dallas Club.

yes... we are trying to figure out how much could fit into a backpack, since the person in custody has stated that it had marijuana in it and it is now with the fugitive.

I'm once again trying to catch up. Ha!

When I read your post, I couldn't pass it by.

It is one of the best I've seen on judge Kemp's grossly biased mistreatment she finds herself in now.

Imo, its because millions it seems have long put individuals all in the collective same boxes, stripping all of their own individuality away from them the way God intended us all to be.

Imo, judge Kemp is an individual who dared to step OUT OF LINE in the imaginary box she was always suppose to stay in no matter what.

Anytime anyone dares to speak out showing they are indeed individual critical thinkers, who does have a right to think for themselves... is when they face the rage, hate, and full on ATTACK by all of those who puts them all only in boxes as if they all are identically the same.

Never fear my friend.

Millions are realizing more than ever before..each, and every day their freedom of individual freedom to express them is as POWERFUL as the millions of those who try desperately ever second to suppress them all.

They are being exposed now, and it will continue.

It's like the impossible task of putting millions of anything back into boxes, and seal it up tight again. It's undoable.

As all things it will be very painful for no pain no gain.

Tragically, it takes way too long to correct all of the terrible wrongs to make them right, and just again.

To be honest, I believe there are more so called "inappropriate" acts from the bench than most know about. Judge Kemp's actions just happened to be caught on camera after a high profile case.

I've witnessed Juvenile court judge give a defendant bus fare after hearing concluded, as well as ask his bailiff to buy a defendant a sandwich in the courthouse café.

Judges are human...
