Logic tells me the shot to his back may of been last.
So if the mouth shot was first, that’s personal IMO
I’m just....
Not a hope.
Merrit tweeted that the first report he received was that Joshua had been shot in the back. The second report, which is the one that broke the internet stated he was told by a close family member that MO told them he was shot in the mouth and the chest, presumably heart, if chest... but couple of hrs later Merrit tweeted again thatlocation of shots may have been incorrect and a paramedic or something , told him he was REALLY shot in buttock and side....
I was furious because the social media #s are galloping with the mouth shooting, as we all did... and I wondered how it might have come about, if there was an innocent explanation for the mouth shot.. It is possible he bled from his mouth following an abdominal shooting, a side shooting, a back shooting or a mouth shooting or a straight up heart shooting and now I am ready for the home for the permanently bewildered..
I could kill Merrit right now...
He managed to gain control of the info flow and he almost started a war with it.
He likes his fame, he's damn good at his job but PR is not his calling... twitter is broken from the repetitive insanity without the slightest trace of evidence... no point trying to talk to them they don't wanna know...

I watched the video and near the end, he put his wallet in his pocket.

A few hours later, he is found shot and died.

So IMO, he had his wallet and phone on him when he left his apartment.

Was he wallet missing when they found him shot ?
No, the dPD stated he was not carrying ID aand that was the reason they didn't inform his family...
Thanks for watching it. I missed that. Did you get any sense of the time he made the vid...? He died c 22.30 Friday night.. I'm in Europe so cannot do the math (I couldn't do the math even if I was on the moon, in fact)

I do not suspect DPD being involved. I can see them being set up to look like they are involved, but I really don't think that this young man said anything that was damaging to DPD if AG, not that I could tell. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Brown wouldn't have had to say anything that was damaging to DPD or Guyger to be targeted. Y'all thinking like trial watchers, considering the actual content of his testimony. ;)

I'm sure there are folks in Dallas who had a problem with all of the black State witnesses who testified and helped convict a white cop. But I agree completely that the odds of the killer being DPD are slim to none. I'd think it more likely if Brown had testified against a cop in a trial about police corruption, but the procedural irregularities exposed in Guyger's trial didn't come close to meeting that bar.

That someone would kill Brown to "set up" the DPD seems equally improbable.

IF Brown was shot in the mouth, can't see his murder as anything other than trial related. If he wasn't, then IMO anything is possible, including mistaken identity.

what makes you think he was still living in the original apartment? I saw several reports that he had moved to the Atara?

It's one of the reasons I don't rely on anything he has to say.

I will wait, like always for the information to come forward who knows definitively ...instead of those who are riling up, purposefully imo, masses with unverified misinformation where their own biases are at play.

I pray they find out who murdered Joshua soon.

Any time our good people are taken from all of us, and the evil doers remain standing we all lose greatly as a society.

Well maybe it was a robbery and had nothing to do with the case. I should zip it until the facts come out.
Hope there is video of this!

Blind with tiredness right now, it would be on the amber guyger thread.. close to the beginning, I believe, when the news started breaking... nothing since.

Gotcha :) We'll figure out pretty soon I think whether he lived in Atera apartments now or was visiting there.

ETA: I did see on Atera website that the parking lot has controlled access. But surely if the perp didn't live there, they could easily slip in.

Merritt talking about unity is pretty rich IMO.
Theres a massive swell of people blaming Brandt's hug, the JUdge's hug and everything about the Botham family.. its literally evil. However Merrit set this up by his mouth shot 'theory'-
He didn't start the blaming game... that looks more like a group of highly organised trolls- they have been at it from the outset and are unbearably cruel to the Botham family...
Sh/tposting with impunity.
I do not believe they are genuine people. Sore fingers from reporting and blocking them.... they rant like hyenas in unision.. wouldn't be surprised if they were a managed group.. like a bot army... Twitter will have to investigate the patterns.. v many have v few followers

Brown lived in Lancaster, Texas, and attended high school there before attending Arizona Western College, according to USF. He became a Bull in 2012 and played in eight games.

USF released the following statement:

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Joshua Brown in Dallas, Texas. Joshua was a much loved and valued member of our football program and athletic family and his loss is felt by many whose lives he positively touched. Our hearts go out to Joshua’s family, friends and loved-ones during this very difficult time."

Brown recorded 11 tackles during the 2012 season, with a season-high of five at Nevada. He suffered a torn Achilles during a workout prior to the start of the 2013 season and did not play again, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Former Bulls cornerback Kayvon Webster, who currently is a free agent in the NFL and played with Brown during the 2012 season, tweeted late Saturday: "Another USF brother gone too soon!"

What are the legal implications of this young man being shot dead when the inevitable appeal of AG’s conviction/sentencing happens?

There aren't any legal implications. Brown's testimony would be admissable at a retrial, as it meets the criteria of an exception to hearsay rule.

1. The witness (Brown) is "unavailable."
2. The defendant he testified against had the opportunity to cross examine him (read "attorneys" for defendant).

The Dallas District Attorney’s office confirmed that Joshua Brown was shot dead on Friday night at his Dallas apartment complex, according to CBS News.

Attorney Lee Merritt, who represents Jean’s family, said Brown was shot at close range in the parking lot of the complex. A government official told The Dallas Morning News that Brown, 28, was shot in the back and thigh.

Brown reportedly had since moved out of the apartment complex where he was neighbors with Jean.

“He was a more important witness than folks understood. Whether or not he was so important that somebody would want to take him out because he testified in this case, I can’t say right now,” Merritt told KTVT.

Merritt said a full investigation is necessary.

"He bravely came forward to testify when others wouldn't. If we had more people like him, we would have a better world," Lee Hermus, the lead prosecutor in Guyger's case, told The Dallas Morning News.

Brown lived across the hall from Jean at the time of the shooting. Brown wept as he testified that he heard what sounded like “two people meeting by surprise” in the hallway, then two gunshots.

He said it sounded “kind of like two voices mixed together” immediately before the shots were fired. Brown said no when asked if he heard police commands such as “hey, put your hands up” or “show me your hands.”

As police officers investigated, there was no suggestion that his death was linked to the Guyger trial.

"Brown deserves the same justice he sought to ensure the Jean family," Mr Merritt said in a statement.

not carrying ID because someone took it !
could well be. But, if they took it, was it before or after they killed him? It is possible he was not actually carrying ID in his wallet. I was responding to a question on whether it was a known fact that his wallet was missing. It is not, there was merely an alleged statement about a delay in identifying his body due to lack of ID found on the body.
