He did much more than that. His was the closest apartent, he had excellent hearing and visibility.
He stated he did not hear police commands.. that trashed her testimony.
But, I agree he was put at risk, wouldn't have hurt them to ask the local cops to maintain a visible presence around his apartment, at least until the trial starts...

I thought he said he he heard them have a brief exchange, which he could not make out well, other that her saying something about "hands" and Bo asking "Why did you shoot me?". I don't see that as doing her much harm.

prosecutor asked him if he had heard her alleged statement 'Show me your hands' He stated he had not. She had claimed she made those commands in a loud voice. The 'why did you shoot me' quote came from Bunny who made the original video from the hallway.

Whoever knows his name should tell police. Of course JB could have known his name, but dead men don't talk.

I think THIS is the one motive that makes sense. This shooter hasn’t been named and this is the one victim who could name him. That’s quite a motive.

So sounds like the dead victim was not a friend of Brown's. Sounds like he was shot by mistake and the bullets were intended for Brown.

"Court records show Diggs, Morris and the second suspect were celebrating a birthday and had gone to several other clubs before stopping at Dallas Cabaret.
While at one of the clubs, the group ran into Brown, who also went to the strip club on Walnut Ridge."
Man arrested in fatal shooting outside Dallas strip club after Thanksgiving

The family blaming him for the death would also be a good motive.

Well I sure hope it's investigated better than 2018 shooting, considering the actual shooter still hasn't been arrested. And now with Brown's murder, I presume it would be a lot harder to prosecute that case. There Brown presumably would have been a star witness (which I don't think he was in Amber Guyger's trial).

Definitely had huge information in the future case.

This is what makes most sense right now.
Joshua testified on Day 2 of her trial, he was murdered 10 days after the verdict.
If that group did it, they had time to plan and time to stalk him they knew his address from day 2.
He wouldn't have stood a chance.

Anyone had plenty of time to capitalize on this opportunity. Why didn’t they just not name Joshua or show him on camera if he was concerned about testifying? They have done that before, it wouldn’t have been a big deal. That may have been enough to protect him.

Actually, I think it's pretty clear that JB was the target of an unnamed suspect last November -- a suspect that nobody is willing to give up. Suspect is obviously feared in the area.

Given his reputation, this suspect and/or his people have probably known every step that JB took since last November, and disguising and/or shielding him during AG's trial probably would not have saved him.

I also believe JB knew the suspect -- and long feared that he was going to come finish him off, as he reportedly told his family.

I do believe that JB was intentionally killed at the height of community blame on DPD, and coincidentally just before scheduled hearing for murder accomplice K Morris set to begin.

* This strip club killer is another guy.

*U.S. marshals are looking for a 25-year-old man who failed to appear in court Thursday when a jury convicted him of a 2017 Dallas murder at a Stemmons Freeway strip club.

Alleged shooter name not published because he's on the loose -- and this suspect has not been identified.

Based on facts in the arrest warrant affidavit, I believe the arrested murder accomplice (K Morris), and JB both know the identity of shooter, and remained silent.

(Three men N Diggs (murder victim), K Morris (alleged murder accomplice), and unnamed suspect were together celebrating birthday at clubs the night of shooting. I'm sure they were not celebrating with a stranger).

ETA: Nov 2018 shooting links are in the thread.

Both Brown and his family believed he was targeted in that shooting by someone he knew and had grown up with.

"And he was concerned that that person might try to come back and finish the job," Merritt said, adding that the shooter in that case hasn't been caught.

Relatives of the person who was killed, Nicholas Shaquan Diggs, blamed Brown for his death, according to Merritt. He said they "promised retribution," but he did not say who told him so.

I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. The "-" will exclude anything after it from the search. So you were trying to search for the strip club shooting but getting all the AG stuff pulled in, "-amber" will exclude any articles with "Amber".

Kendall Morris, 26, was indicted in June for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, court records show. He pleaded not guilty and is out on bond, his attorney, Henry Campbell, told CNN on Monday.

Campbell said Morris had "nothing to do with what happened to Josh." Morris had "no reason to want to retaliate" because he is innocent of the November shooting, Campbell said.

He said investigators have not spoken with Morris since Brown was killed.
