Some people don’t let silly things like “facts,” get in the way of a narrative they want to be true.
Ita.
That's applicable in many other cases here as well.

I think you're right...
We do not know what the backpack contained .
If it was a few keys of coke, for sure we're in dangerville...
BUT, only 6 ks marijuana remained in his apt and some thc, liquid or some other combo,?
How likely is it for someone to carry guns to a pot deal, big or small?
Coke deals- they're expected...
How much would the wholesale price for 1 kg of marijuana be currently in Louisiana, does anybody know??
Have a feeling it was a classA.
If you've ever watched The First 48 on A&E, you would see how many homicides are connected to pot dealing. It surprised me.

I do believe we need advocates. However, (IMO) Merrit was not advocating in my eyes, only shamefully inciting with dangerously incorrect information.
Not to mention preying on grieving, vulnerable parent's of lost children (which IMO, is what he did with JB and BR's family).
Apologies this quote isn't showing correctly.

Agreed. ^^^
Wonder if anyone has called him out in other sites besides WS ?

When perusing JB's facebook a few days ago, I noticed a caption he posted on a selfie:

Ain’t got no ID but I got them Racks [n-word]

This made me search the net for the meaning of Racks. <g> I wasn't sure if that line was a rap lyric or just what, but I decided not to share it here.

So...this news today is no surprise to me (sadly).

~jmo~

ETA: His post was dated September 25, 2018.

Racks are known as stacks of cash. It’s a popular term used within the rap, gang and drug world.

ITA with you.

And it really is standard procedure to obtain a SW for a victim's home imo. It's not a smear campaign but a necessity to find out who, why, how about the crime.

Dallas Police Arrest Suspect In Joshua Brown Capital Murder Case, Seek 2 Others

"... Police also executed a search warrant at Brown’s apartment where they confiscated 12 pounds of marijuana, 143 grams of THC, cartridges and $4,000 in cash. ..."

Agree -- it's no different than search warrant issued for BR's apartment after he was murdered by AG. Just investigators doing their job...

The key word is probably pounds of marijuana, not ounces. JB had 12 pounds in his apartment making him the dealer. And JB would have been getting his product from even worse, violent traffickers up the distribution chain, imo.

Texas Penalties for Drug Possession: Marijuana, Cocaine & Meth
In Texas, 12 pounds of marijuana as possession is a felony with up to a $10,000 fine and 2-10 years in prison.
Okay. But that would place him in a pretty low rung on the hierarchical ladder still... more like a very local dealer with not so many clients, just enough to get by, make a profit...?
Not enough for 3 to travel all the way from Louisiana (spell?)
IF they were merely travelling for weed?

BUT- reasons for my nitpicking questions- was he low enough on the rung to be missed by local drugs task forces?

People have been arguing back and forth about his testimony and how relevant it really was.
I believe it was very relevant because of the acoustics... also, because of his activities he would have an inherent sense of caution... dealing. Cops, Being on constant look-out. He'd have more keenly attuned senses than others, occupational hazard.
How much weight did the law give to his testimony- is she gonna walk?
Hermus said he didn't have to be there.
I believe this to be true.
There was apparently nothing to be gained for himself personally by attending except for the possibility that the police would take any 'heat' that was on him off, at least temporarily....

Well the crime occurred across state lines so the FBI will take it from here. They get their wish.

Unbelievable! DPD arrested one and seeking two more responsible for the death of JB, and Merritt refuses to credit DPD. Instead he cites the reliability of any arrest/prosecution will be undermined by their [DPD] involvement.

I've the most concern for the grieving, vulnerable families preyed upon by one with their own agenda.

MOO

From your link
Joshua Brown, a witness during the Amber Guyger murder trial, was killed in a drug deal, sources say

A large amount of marijuana was also seized from Brown’s apartment during a search, according to multiple officials. And authorities have gone to two houses in Louisiana looking for the suspects, an official said.

Dallas police are hosting a news conference at 1 p.m.

From bolded part: could this be used for AG to appeal? Her attorneys could say, Joshua Brown “could” have been under the influence of drugs, so then his testimony could not be trusted.

They did, en masse but they were all trolls with less than 10 followers who are known racists and assoiated with known racist orgs.
They do it every time a black person is murdered... hate spewing.
Nothing credible was ever produced.. just ranting.

I think more like felony, not credible because engaged in criminal activities to felony level.
Could get dirty if he was promised any 'breaks' for testifying...
Reflects poorly on the prosecution and their 'desperation' to get a conviction after this most reasonable murder by amber'
could go south that way, but speculating .
