It's possible the autopsy could shed light on that question. In other words, would it be possible, given his injuries, to fire at the other man after being shot?

It may not give a definitive answer, and yes, I agree that the testimony of an admitted criminal might well be slanted to mitigate the behavior of his associates.

Shot in a lower body-that presumably means he could have been alive for a while.

Usually "critical condition" indicates a life threatening condition. But we don't know if this description came from the hospital or if it was the police department representative's interpretation.

It seems that the DPD was getting information from the shooting victim. If he is not intubated, is lucid, and is able to talk, the severity of his condition may have been exaggerated. Hard to know at present.

What do "stable," "critical," and other medical conditions mean?

I think rather than exaggerated, his condition may have simply improved do to the medical care he is receiving.

Since i have no idea what they are really stating with that, i don't dare guess. Only thing i do know is moving Pot from Cali (some coming from Hawaii) and getting it to other states, USED to be a big deal. WHERE it comes from originally could be the price difference. I'm no expert by any means. I just googled and it gave me a price on gram thru lb, Louisana and then broke it down by medical/legal, street recreational etc. I used median numbers to estimate. People absolutely will kill over 30k.... and that was just want was found inside the apartment, the backpack is still missing. We have clue what is in there, except for the injured participant stating that the gun JB had was in there too. Could be other drugs, could have been cash. Hopefully it will be found but i'm not taking bets on that.

People kill each other over much less.

They stole his backpack and they stole his gun.
We don't know whether the backpack was empty or full. It is possible that the 12 lbs of weed in his apartment was for them and he went to meet them to check it out before handing it over, but carried the backpack to pretend he had it.
Maybe money first drugs after?
But for all we know he could have been trading crystal meth.

He and the other two will all have their versions of events. No doubt, Joshua will be framed as the aggressor. He may have been, or not. I doubt we'll get some top notch forensic investigation, either. Murders like this are a dime a dozen.

Thank you. - - I amended my partial quoted post "no reports his injury is life threatening" to include the Asst Chief presser (embedded in my post) didn't report the suspects injury was life threatening.

Yes. Hemp is used in shampoo, toothpaste, etc. It dOes not contain THC. But the biggest thing here is he was dealing. And it sounds like they were all armed. This is a huge no no. I'd like to know how the Louisiana people connected with him. Was he that well known?

That was utterly beautiful work and an amazing presentation by them today.
It was measured dignified and bang on accurate.
I liked Hall, she's smart and she's wise and I reckoned she'd do it right and she did.
I wasn't sure how much co-operation she would receive from within the force though, they could well have resented her efforts and worked against her and therein lay the danger.
I never believed they would catch someone because there was only a vague description of a car..
DPD have what is probably a massive task cleaning house and restoring goodwill.
I sincerely wish them well with that and after today's presentation I'd be optimistic about them getting it right .
