When the friend left, was it halftime or when the basketball game was over ?
Was "Toy Story" telecast or a video?
Perhaps they could narrow the time down by checking these?

I wonder if there are any old wells that haven't been capped off properly in those fields?

Surely they had scent dogs out, but even then they would have physically looked under each mobile home yes?

He would have gotten cold quickly and he's so tiny he would lay down and ball up to keep warm yes?

He could be right there if he did wander off and he's so tiny he's hard to find.

Just noodling not thinking that this is what happened, I have no clue what happened to this precious baby boy.

I just read on the very first link on the first page under the comments that he was found.
Can we believe that or not?

Am i allowed to quote the person here?

You can't quote them, but you can tell us where to look and provide a link (which you did). :)

We probably shouldn't believe that comment. There was a rumor going around earlier that he was found. Turned out to be untrue. Best to wait until it's verified by MSM.

I just checked a bunch of MSM sites, none of which are reporting he's been found :( My guess is the rumor is untrue.

The Spurs were playing the Sacramento Kings that night... It was a late starting game because it was being played on the west coast. The game started about 9:30 p.m. I would venture to say that is the game that was being watched.

So has this friend been questioned? Has his/her car been checked, have the trunks of vehicles at the house that night been checked? Could someone leaving the home have run over baby Joshua and tried to hide his body, and would the dogs have hit on a specific area if he has been hit by a car or run over by a car?

I just hate that things like this happen and there never seems to be any answers to the most logical questions.

The scenario of a hit and run and then placing the toddler's body in the vehicle is plausible especially if drinking had taken place and the person panicked and was afraid to get in trouble.

No, we covered this a couple pages ago. This is FROM the same earlier false alarm, the same comment was on the facebook page which is time stamped. There is a comment right after that one on the article you refer to, confirming he is STILL missing.

It was a "false alarm." Apparently there was another baby wandering around out there??? :waitasec:

Police came out and confirmed that it was untrue:

I was really hoping that little Joshua would be found by now. Dear lord where can this baby be?

  • #210
This baby was only 18 months old. I don't know what the odds are that he could have gotten very far, considering it was dark, and cold, and he was not even wearing shoes.
Poor little babe. Too late for should'a, would'a, could'a and if only's.

Hi all,
Just got word of this case. Seems like there may be some questions, I'm still catching up.

I think the main question for you was "IF this child "just wandered away" then why haven't the dogs found him?"

However, I heard "K9 teams" I have NOT heard actual SAR dogs. So I do not know which they have brought in.

They are now bringing in HRD dogs as well...

First thing that would have likely happened is his socks would have gotten wet and fell off. I could never keep socks on a toddler unless they were in shoes.

I'm hoping their neighbors are checking under their houses,in their sheds any where he could have explored...

I think you may have answered the question all on your own! You're starting to see and notice that key difference. K9 teams are not the same thing, bloodhounds, are not necessarily the same thing. Far too often lack of understanding is what causes this problem. Police call other police with K9 teams and there you have it. Not realizing that it is a much different thing than what they are trained for.

3 days in is NO problem for a trained SAR dog. This is an 18 month old baby, so you're not even going to be dealing with a lot of overlapping trails. It's going to be right there for them to follow, if he left that house alive. They need to call in a certified SAR dog and get a direction of travel. Plain and simple. I am so frustrated with what seems to be one case after another of this and now it is I'm afraid too late for a happy ending.

Bringing in HRD dogs for where? Do they have something narrowed down? Bringing in water dogs would be a wise choice as there are way too many small ponds out there for my liking. There also seems to be a bunch of "other stuff" stacked and strewn about, at least in the old google images. All areas where a small child would curl up to stay warm and protected. Very very easy to be missed by even trained personnel.

And sorry, the short answer to "if this child wandered away" and "why haven't the dogs found him" would be that the dogs and/or their handlers blew it. If this child just wandered away and the dogs were properly trained for SAR work, they should have found him.....

ETA-I have a feeling these weren't SAR dogs...

This case is breaking my heart......where is this baby?

On a separate note, not utilizing the volunteers in some function is sad IMO. They could be utilized in conjunction with trained teams, as an extra set of eyes, but under the guidance of trained personnel. They could be passing out flyers outside the search radius. They could be hanging flyers in every storefront in a five mile radius. They could searching outside of the official search radius. There is a lot for them to do.

Has the exact address been released somewhere? Really would like to narrow this down on the map, at that age it's going to make a difference.

thanks for explaining that, sarx...I just couldn't wrap my head around how the dogs could have missed a toddler's trail that was only hours old, vs. days or weeks with inclement weather in the mix (just looking for a reason they didn't work out)

such a sad situation...poor little guy.
