I wonder if it is possible that during a fight, she told Senior that Jr. wasn't his son. I'm just thinking that if the other adults were involved in the game, Sr. could have excused himself to smoke and swept up Josh with him, did whatever, and then came back in 10-15 minutes later with no one the wiser.

It's a beanie here too, a ski mask can be rolled down and has eye, nose, mouth holes (think of bank robbers).

Does he mean one of these? I've never hear these called anything other than a knit hat/cap. In Canada, they'd say tuque.

There are also Muslim beanies that are normally knit. Some non-Muslims wear them just because they are fashionable. Also, Rasta beanies.
In NorCal, common slang for these type of beanies is 'skullcap'.. ;)

The door story has me baffled. The mom said, I thought, there was only one door, but in picture#11 it looks like stairs to a back door? Or am I wrong?

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/article/Search-for-missing-tot-continues-1003212.php

Thank you so much Trigger!

I am assuming that this is the back of the residence? (pic below) I don't see a clear picture of the front of the residence in that slideshow. Do we have one?

Okay I'm not seeing glass sliding doors? I see a screendoor? What do you al see? In addition if this were the door---then Joshua would have navigated the stair as well and left that way? That would lead me to believe that there is an interior door there as well. Yes?

ETA: Joshua looks like his Mommy. So beautiful both of them.

I have to think one or more persons must be failing some LDT's if the baby never left the house. Did something happen in the bedroom and is the 'friend' who left the house involved? This is a very strange case. I really doubt he wandered off and has not been found yet.

On a happier note, the temperature next week is supposed to get up to 60's-65 degrees. Maybe this will aid in the search.

IIRC, didn't the pizza guy come and I think I read that he came in and visited a short time. Could he have left his car door open and the baby crawled into his car....I know...I'm grasping at straws here. Surely, they have talked to him...If the baby curled up in the floor and went to sleep, and the pizza guy didn't find him until the next day and he was dead? Panicked and scared to report it....I don't know....thinking outside the box.

I had no idea who it was either Ima, I just knew it wasn't someone involved in the case.

And I'm 25.

Oh wait... I turned 26 in August. :innocent:

Yeah, it's not age. :waitasec:

Sorry, for the confusion guys. I just tried to find an example of a beanie. :)

That's always been a beanie in So CA - until they became designer digs and became Muslim beanies, Rasta beanies or whatever.

Klein Road Elementary I believe, it is where the original searchers organized.

Kat - re pregnancy and LDT - some organizations will use them and some won't due to stressing the unborn baby - they are supposedly just as reliable pregnant or not. Discussed earlier in this thread (there are links also).

I wonder if the school grounds themselves have been searched.

If the original search was organized there, they may have went around to Savannah Hill Circle to actually begin their search and did not thoroughly search around the school.
Since it is an elementary school, I would assume the 6 yr old goes there. Does he walk to school? Is there a short cut through, around or over the fence?
Did Joshua see him off each morning and wait for him when he comes back home?
Do the area kids use the playground in off hours?

I certainly won't shoot down any theory Sooner.

If I went out to my car and found an unknown dead toddler though...

I'm not sure my first instinct would be to cover it up KWIM?

Interesting thought though :) JMHO

Yup...gotcha...but if he is not on the property, he left with someone in a car. Usually we WS'ers have a grasp or suspect on these cases and I just come up with nothing. They are just not telling everything.

Is the pizza delivery person the same one that Mom is thinking might have done something?

I agree we don't have enough info for sure!

I was wondering if he was accidentally hit by a vehicle and the driver panicked and hid him. I guess anything is possible.

Sooner that is a possible theory!
this whole case is just so "off".
If it was even 50 degrees I'd say he could have wandered quite a ways.. however even my Iowa born kids at 18 months would not have went far in that cold.. t her eis just no way... and he wasn't used to it..

Was he delayed in any way maybe early signs of autism or something that would make him not as reactive to adverse weather conditions??

A friend has an autistic son and it could be 100 degrees or -10 and he doesn't even seem to notice will be outside playing with siblings and take his boots and socks coat hat etc off if he's not watched..and it doesn't seem to bother him.......

You are right. Not everyone takes their kids out in the winter. Especially a child with asthma when Mom is 8 months pregnant. My little girls, both with asthma went outside under 50 degrees about once a year until they were 4. They just couldn't handle it. This year, they haven't played in the snow yet because each time it has snowed they have had a cold. That cold is enough to push them over that edge and they can't handle both at the same time.

I personally believe the reason they haven't found a scent is because it's the wrong dogs.

As SARX said, these are the prison dogs. They are used to track down escaped inmates... not missing people. They are not trained to track a trail that is several days old. So they would not be likely to pick up an older trail at all. We do not know about the other dogs, what kind of trail they are capable of tracking.

This doesn't mean that LE doesn't care, it means they may not realize the huge difference. To them a dog is a dog... just like to many parents a car seat is a car seat. They aren't trying to kill their kid.

The best of intentions doesn't mean it's being done correctly. You can still be misinformed.

I am not in the least bit surprised the dogs haven't found a scent. I fully believe if they had brought in the right dogs on day 1 that they likely would have found him by now. IF there is a trail leading to him.

I didn't think about the asthma, I am blessed to have healthy children, they are very rarely sick. My poor nephew did not go out much till he was 4 in colder weather as he suffered from ear infections :(

New Braunfels police say there are leads to follow--so much so, they've got other agencies involved -- the Texas Rangers, for one.

More FBI agents arrived in New Braunfels Wednesday, part of the Child Abduction Rapid Deployment team.

The FBI says the team can help local police with the possibility of abductions that cross state lines or international lines.

I think that he could be somewhere outside, and overlooked so far. Recently when my dog got out, I went driving around at night looking for him. It was cold out also. I though he might curl up somewhere trying to stay warm. As I drove around looking for him, I realized how many places outside could hide a 45 lb dog trying to stay warm.

I think Joshua's out there, and I think he's probably not too far (it was really cold out.) I just can't come up with another answer.

There are a lot of questions, but in my experience kids can be quick and curious. You have to watch them like a hawk. Two hawks would even be better!

It really wasn't clear...I've read this thread from the start...but let me go back and see if I can find the reference to the pizza guy. I would think though, if he stayed a bit, they were at least familiar with him...gong back to read some more.

I also have a question I wanted to find anyway...wasn't there ice one the steps? be back soon.

Now, before anyone gets TOO excited... we had the CART team here for Ethan Stacy too and they knew immediately who was responsible for his disappearance. So that doesn't absolutely mean they believe Joshua was abducted... but it is interesting.

I know what you mean, Sooner Fan. This case has me stumped.

I usually have a really accurate gut instinct for sensing who is the guilty party. That's why I'm thinking this really is a lost kid case.

I appreciate that people are throwing out ideas, and other possibilities though. I feel like we need to rule out all possibilities.

True, but wouldnt that have left some blood evidence for the dogs to track?
I think it is so odd that the dogs didnt pick up a scent.
