wonder when landfill searches will begin.... ((just wondering here as it seemed to be the prompt and wise thing to do with Somer Thompson))

I agree, I find nothing hinky about Mom

Me either, I pray I'm right, but she is very believable to me. If I'm wrong about her, I'll eat a beanie!

dogs hitting... other dogs brought in... and continuing to talk to people..

this does NOT sound like a toddler wandered off scenario to me folks.. or at least they are covering all bases...

It's very concerning...and there are RSO's in the area...Can LE demand to search the homes of RSO'S ...I've always heard they can just go to the door and inquire but cannot go inside their homes. JMO

how can local news sites NOT have this plastered across the top of their sites???? AMAZING!

Good interview with Aunt there. She says some interesting things about search dogs/scent....etc.

Mystic, I don't know exact address but the address is shown on the front of the home in this video and IIRC the street is Savannah Hill Circle.

Patty has the NG show uploaded to Youtube of coverage for Joshua from Feb 7th. FYI.

I'll watch that later.

Oh goody more prison dogs....

ETA-non SAR dogs missed Michelle Dubois too (again .3 miles away)

Who lives at 2619? I see that address being highlighted as well in a video coverage by Univision. If anyone understands spanish I will be happy to link but it looks like same coverage. JMHO.

Is that where the RSO lives maybe...

I'm disappointed that this article, IMO, continues to perpetuate the 'myth' that the FBI's CARD team focuses on abductions across state lines/international...Their web page shows "CARD Teams are primarily involved in non-family child abductions, ransom child abductions, and mysterious disappearances of children. They work with state and local law enforcement to protect and save the lives of innocent children."

Granted they have the expertise & federal authority, but I think people need to be educated.

OK - all done w/ that now. :twocents:

Thanks for the link...geezz...that's 2 things I learned today from WS!

I don't know but I don't think so?

This coverage is in Spanish. Joshua's Mom speaks English as does a local LE? spokesperson. (saving time for nonspeakers, so they don't have to listen if they don't want to) the young female at beginning of the video is identified as Joshua's Godmother.

At 50 second passing mark you can see Mom and her older child walk into door of that home with door held open by an agent of one of the LE.

ETA: a couple of vid's and articles on spanish speaking news outlets but I don't see anything yet that hasn't already been reported. Then again I'm not fluent. My ear understands only if the speaker doesn't speak to quickly. Mex Spanish dialect usually isn't a problem for me. PR---heck yes. LOL.

Okay I think that's their home? Trigger edited the post because of a typo I think so if I'm not mistaken we only had the 2600 general address but now from the vids we have the exact address?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I had to take a phone call during all of that LOL

Yep, forgot to put that too, thanks nursebeeme! I don't mean it as a way to highlight failures of depts. but to show how easy it is even with resources for it to happen. I don't want to be graphic, but we have literally had line searchers step on the victim when doing a grid search. Not the preferred method of finding a person I might add, but it is a reality. I've also had them walk right by them (because if you aren't walking literally hip to hip then there is a gap between people). It's not like we are talking about a 650 acre paved parking lot, KWIM?

I totally agree, when we travel cross country visiting daughter in Pa. I use FB so I don't have to make repeated calls to all family telling them we are fine...They worry lol But my fb is private.

That is how we made our 1500 mile move! updated FB from my phone a few times a day. I guess it is the world we live in now, espescially for a mom in her early 20's!

Just wanted to add a couple comments...IMO...

I think the timeline given makes sense. Mom was with him at (around) 7:40 when he then walked out of the room toward where the other family was sitting. Dad said that he saw Joshua (around) 8:00 when he was pulling on his beanie. The Dad's story about pulling on his beanie, being told to stop and smiling would have happened in less than five minutes. My guess is after being told to stop he runs off. Mom come out of the room around the same time (20 minutes after 7:40 is 8-ish) asks Dad where J is...Dad says I just saw him...Mom starts looking can't find him..alerts the rest of the house, whom all start looking...30 minutes later they call the police. (30 minutes does seem a little long to be searching without calling the police, but the parents time may be estimated...give or take some minutes.)
In regard to the wandering off theory. I really don't buy that either. I doubt an 18 month old would wander too far, without a purpose. Most kids that age, may wander outside, but they wouldn't just roam aimlessly unless there is something he's after. I only see this being possible if there is something in viewing distance from the house where he would have wanted to go. But wouldn't the dogs have picked up on that?
I definitely believe there is some info missing from this story. Like for example...i know its cold, but if you're in the house, why did Dad have a beanie on....did he just back from outside? Was a window or door open, letting cold air in? Was he getting ready to go outside?

ITA with you sarx... this child could still be a wandered away child and several dog teams and chopper searches with FLIR missed him...

we just saw this with Michelle Dubois who killed herself 0.3 miles from the home... who walked to where she died...

ITA...

this perimeter that they keep expanding needs to also be researched over and over... have they used horses? have they done another grid search?

thanks for you sarx.... you are a voice of reason over and over and over again

eta: and I do not feel it is a failure of any department... or dog.. or device... it is just what it is... it is not 100%... I pray that officers have more investigative facts to lead the search...

I think this and many other cases recently, point out that EVERYONE in our country need to be educated on the proper resources to handle cases like this. Imagine, friday night, hours after Joshua goes missing, bring in PROPER SAR dogs, and them NOT finding a trail??? Resources would have been moved much faster to look into other possibilities. I know NOTHING is flawless, and we are all just people, and dogs, but it seems like things would be different.... KWIM?? Or am I just naive to think there is a way to prevent things like this??? :innocent::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
