This is one little baby that I really want to be found. I cannot believe there has not been more progress - hopefully the lab results will at least lead LE down one path or another...

I really want this to be resolved too. This is such a sad case for all involved/

Initially I thought, or feared. that he was going to be found in a nearby field, like those other recent tragic cases of wandering toddlers.

But now I don't know what to think. Neither of the parents or grandparents seem hinky to me. None of them seem to be capable of killing their precious baby joshua. I keep coming back to the suspicious friend, but I would hope LE has been checking him out carefully too. I just don't understand what could have happened.
I guess my default option is the child followed someone outside and he was accidentally hit by the car and it was covered up. ??? IDK

The friends name has been released, as well as other details about him---but only on the support page on FB...Until the media releases it, I guess we are not allowed to "sleuth" him?

I am not sure that I agree with all of the above. I DO think the newborn might have been placed with the grandmother because Joshua is missing.

The mystery has not been solved. Nobody knows what happened but LE seems to believe it may have been someone living in the home that is responsible. If so, CPS cannot leave another child in the home until the mystery is solved.

It is not just a suspicion that a child went missing. That much they know for sure. So it was either negligence, an accident that was covered up, murder, or an abduction. Until they find out which one, 3 out of the 4 choices would be the fault of the family. imo

We are going to have to agree to disagree katydid.

I have searched the archives since this particular aspect came up about this baby being removed (speculation of removal) and the reason for the removal was that Joshua was missing.

I can't find a single case where the other child(ren) were removed from the home based on the reason alone that one of the children in that home went missing.

I've spent a few hours and perhaps I should spend a few more maybe I missed a missing child case where CPS came in and removed the remaining child(ren) only because one of them went missing.

I'm not sure LE has proof of an accident or neglect of Joshua. I'm not sure this isn't going to slide into the hundreds of threads we have in our archives that represent a mere fraction of the thousands of missing children that have vanished never to be found.

I still have to stand by the thought that CPS has to show that the child in question was in danger in some way or another and that the child can't be removed legally from the home because of "what looks like might have happened". JMHO.

:)

Perhaps the ongoing criminal investigation is grounds? We don't know what LE has, and probably won't until an arrest is made. My thinking is that something's come back from the lab that doesn't look so good for one of the key persons, and LE informed CPS.

LE has stated the friend was cleared, but the parents have continued to single him out.
Are their concerns legitimate or are they perhaps just trying to dodge something? I have no idea.

All I know is a little wee one is missing, and I hope this is resolved soon. Such a precious little boy. Too cute for words.

I've got my fingers crossed JustThinkin and I'm honestly saying prayers for Joshua.

This one just feels bad. Please let him come home soon but it just feels bad and I'm worried he won't be found and there won't be resolution. I'll keep praying though.

JMHO

It (Joshua's case) does feel bad, and also because I don't believe LE has much to go on that they aren't sharing.

Just reminds me of Gabriel Johnson a little too much. What is going on in the San Antonio area?

I'm amazed that this case hasn't been solved yet. I thought for sure there would be a quick resolution to this one. Where are you, cutie???

I hate to speculate too much because we don't know much.....
but IF, IF he was hit on accident, the reasons i could see it being covered up Person who hit him was high. There was a lot of drugs in the home and they ddin't want the cops around. Person was drunk.

I honestly don't know what happened to poor little Joshua, but i posted it because i know there had been speculation about him being hit, and when I read it, he's the first thing that came to mind.
I 100% agree reporting it is what sane people do.

If it wasn't the friend or the parents, maybe they need to re-look at all the neighbors on that street.

peeples, I'm not disagreeing with you at all, just stating what would usually happen in the case of an accident like that. Someone with a record might not want to report it either or someone whose driver's license had been suspended or someone who was in danger of having their license taken away due to alcohol abuse. Texas has recently become zero tolerant. That's what I was hearing a month or so ago. Haven't heard anything about that recently though.

"Lt. John McDonald, one of the lead investigators on this case, says most of those leads have been very consistent, coming from a variety of sources, all in the same relative area, near the boy's home on Savannah Hill Circle, east of I-35. "

From the article posted above...this is very interesting and seems as though there may be a general consensus as to what happened-we just aren't privy to it yet...

Just reposting HiHater's intriguing post from Feb. 24th.

Tripped upon some interesting comments (some are or claim to be locals and at least one claimed to be a neighbor who searched that night) under an article at KGNB News if anyone is interested in reading them, although I don't think we can discuss them.

http://kgnb.am/news/missing-toddler-update-police-say-someone-knows-what-happened

I agree these comments are a very insightful read... and many of them we have also heard/read/suspected/verified/discovered in other locations. I didn't see anything that I didn't know, just surprised to see it on a news site. (I'm talking about the ones that are claiming to be locals or have knowledge of the family. Not the opinions about behavior or theories.)
