I had hoped $20k was enough incentive for someone to come forward ...

That's effed up right there. If I had my picture plastered like that all over facebook I'd be getting me a lawyer. JMHO (the ever humble opinion of a "CSI wannabe" LOL)

How much longer on the countdown to when 90 days is up?

Hopefully after that LE will come right out and make a statement that the family is completely cleared so the investigation can move onward and outward. JMHO.

May 20 = 90 days.

Baby was born February 18.

I am a little more upset about whoever the other little boy in the picture with him is. I don't know if it is that guy's kid or his nephew or cousin or brother... but I don't really care.

That's just not cool. There is no reason to drag another baby into this.

I would be upset that this toddler's picture is included in the poster about this friend in question who is:

"da last one to leave our house dat niqht, nd he sd qoodbye"

"da person who last left da house riqht b4 babyboy cme up missin"

Now what strikes me about that is... the LAST one to leave.... the person who LAST left....

Who left BEFORE HIM?

And I would have a much easier time reading these facebooks if people could simply TALK.... and call Joshua by his NAME.... Joshua. Joshy. Josh. Any variation of his actual NAME at all.

Oh and given the circumstances... using the picture of Joshua dressed up as a skeleton.... maybe not the best choice...

As far as this friend that was the "last to leave..." (Whatever that means)

The family claims that the friend still hasn't taken a polygraph because he lawyered up quickly.

They also claim that he took Josh outside that night and ADMITS that he did so.

Then Josh was never seen again. :waitasec:

Call me crazy... but I would think THAT would have been a slightly important piece of information. Being a bit suspicious of someone or knowing someone took your child outside and they were never seen again... are two VERY different things.

The family seems to think that the police department is covering for the friend because of his family... or because he is white... or whatever reason it is at the time.

Something tells me that the cops are not going to clear anyone in the near future. :banghead:

Something also tells me that we will not know where this precious, beautiful little boy is... anytime in the near future either.

What's even more interesting is the fact that "people" are creating fake Facebook accounts to comment on that page. That person has since deleted her comments, but I cant help but wonder why someone with no interest/involvement would do such a thing.

As far as the other little boy, he should not be included, but the caption thingy is true. The other family would be just as relentless as the Davis family...Social networking may help bring some things to the forefront in this case like it has in others...

& as far as how people talk---that's a matter of internet lingo. I am not as bothered by it, because I too use slang of some sort on FB, but I'm also college educated and can type correctly if need be. Just saying...

At least through FB we learned what the 'forensic evidence' that LE was waiting for results on was...

Does anyone think that SB's lie detector test is kind of insignificant? Someone on FB posed this, could SB not be eliminated through questions that were asked to JD?

I haven't been following the FB page. What was the forensic evidence LE had? Did they get results on something?

No results, and not sure if we are at liberty to get into details here? I can probably find the link for you on FB though.

Thanks for posting this. I took a break from this case and had not heard that the friend admitted to taking Joshua outside and also has refused a poly.

I am obsessive compulsive and known for never using slang. My text will say "I am on my way there, see you in a few minutes." :innocent:

People joke that if they EVER got a text from me using slang they would know I had been abducted or something. I just can't do it.

I normally just ignore facebooks like that... but what bothers me here is the situation they are in. In THIS situation... stop the slang, stop the macho sounding talk and just talk normally. Use real words, refer to your child by name and you will be much better received by the public. You ARE asking them to look for your missing child.

Yes, if the other family had a little boy was missing they would want answers.

Do you think that if that little boy had disappeared instead of Joshua... that Joshua's parents would have been out there searching for him? That THEY would want answers? I am guessing not. I am guessing they haven't searched for other missing children in the past.

People tend NOT to really care until it happens to them. That is human nature. Websleuthers are anomalies. :innocent:

This young man is said to be an 8 year friend of JD who was at the house the night Josh disappeared. I would think this person would have been the first to volunteer to help on the searches. That is too close to home to believe it couldn't happen to him.

Rumors say he has a young child, his grandma is a lawyer, his car was taken for forensics a week after Josh disappeared (unknown results) and he has not taken a poly. All rumors that make one go hmmmm....

Glad someone else introduced the "rumors" lol

I have not heard the first one, but I have heard that he only graduated high school in 2010---which would make him much younger than JD, especially if this is an 8 year relationship...wonder what they have in common?

It doesn't matter how a person talks/types if you can understand them, great! If not ask for clarification or just ignore it. I'm not sure how her changing the way she talks on FB would bring her any closer to finding her son?

If SB and JD were not involved in the other family's child disappearing---I'm sure they would help, Just as many of SB and JD's FRIENDS have helped them search. Not participating in the search could be a red herring, but it could also mean something IMO

I think the police are being tight lipped because there's a lot they're having to investigate ..

These latest developments with the Facebook stuff just confirm that for me..

Where did these "rumors" orginate?

Has LE said that this young man (who has not been identified as a POI as far as I know and we are toeing the line on TOS here and I know it and we all know it--for reals) refused to take a LDT? I always have to ask myself where do these rumors come from?

Who isn't searching? If it's this young man who has had his face posted on facebook with text that implies that he has knowledge or did something directly to Joshua where did that "rumor" come from? I haven't heard LE make a comment about who has been out searching?

I have no clue who this young man is, and he may very well have information about Joshua and the red herring may very well be that whoever did do something to Joshua is pointing a finger at this young man.

I, like Ms. F, do have an issue that whoever created that banner and has posted it to facebook is using the picture of a young child as well. That is irresposible and reprehensible.

I've got to agree ... red herring is the term that came to mind .. I wonder if red herrings were being thrown from the beginning?

The police have NOT named a POI ..

They have said not abducted ..

The Davis family was quoted in the Herald Zeitung as saying the police had asked them not to release the name of the friend...and they didn't, someone else did and then SB confirmed...

So, if his car was really taken (even though it was said to be taken days after the disappearance), then LE was focused on him pretty early on...JMO

  • #299
I totally agree they focused on him early ..

With just a little looking the "sightings" of Joshua on the other side of town is when I believe they started focusing on the friend...

  • #300
JMO---I agree that posting the young man's pic on FB is a bit much---but I understand the logic. The Davis family has been dragged through the mud and scrutinized for anything you can think of. What if they are, in fact, innocent?

I think the least of the young man's worries should be a picture. People are not at this point criticizing anything about him, not his family, not his living arrangements, not his associations, not his education, not anything. He was AT the house and there's no mention of him anywhere, but we can in essence sleuth SB and JD even though they are not POIs either? idgi
