Juan Herrera was at the Sandridge Apartments in Midland, Texas on the night of March 2nd, 2022. His mother had not been able to contact him since. Local news reported an officer involved shooting at approximately 2:30am on March 3rd, 2022 at the same apartments. The mother is not sure if that incident is linked to her missing son but provided DNA & dental records to Texas Rangers who are investigating the shooting.

Family is distributing missing person posters (attached). Midland County Sheriff’s Office has refused to comment on shooting to any local media. Since it was officer involved fatal shooting the Texas Rangers are investigating.

The Department of Public Safety has confirmed a 14-year-old was killed in a deputy-involved shooting at a Midland apartment complex earlier this month.

Juan Herrera was identified by the Tarrant County Coroner’s Office using dental records, according to DPS.

this is fishy as heck. why did they shoot him, did they think their life was in danger from this 14 year old who ran off? why did it take so many days and dental records? was he shot in the face?
