So are they actively searching for who used Julie's cc at Best buy? The Spiderwick Chronicles is a kids movie, have they released a video of the person using the card to see if the public could help identify them? (if the video was clear enough for her mother to know that it wasn't Julie, then maybe it's clear enough for the public to maybe recognize the person?)

They haven't released the video (but good idea).

Just noted that the one article says "No one has spoken to her since the husband reported seeing her that morning, March 26."

I wonder if any of George's neighbors saw any of the comings / goings that Friday AM. Does anyone know if he lives alone, in an apartment, or a house?

I wonder if George knew Julie was planning to go to the courthouse that day.

Sometimes I think that LE makes up their own rules as they go along. Since when has there ever been any real physical evidence in any of these cases at the get go. Circumstances is usually what leads LE to name POI's and the circumstances in this case are very telling. This doesn't even make any sense for the Austin Police Department's lack of interest in this young ladies disappearance, it is an injustice at it's best. When Laci Peterson disappeared she was just a missing pregnant woman, there were no suspects till months later when they named the husband a POI and certainly no "physical" evidence ever except for later maybe some hair at his warehouse. The Modesto Police jumped to action immediately on that one. There is no reason not to search her car or phone records, the family certainly seems to be cooperating and would not object. So what gives?? Are they lazy or is it like the Mom stated because they are just "regular" folks.

In regards to George willing to take a lie-detector test, I cannot help but think of all the people who show up on "Maury show" type shows and act completely suprised when they are caught cheating. I wish police or even Fox could ask for test from George. Maybe he will change story or better yet just give honest, helpful clues on Julie's actions that day. It is easier to tell you what I Will do, than actually following thru with the action. Just my 2 cents.

"What we have to be able to do is balance when you have family members or friends that report someone is missing, at the minimum we do a basic assessment and investigation to find out why that family member is missing," Sgt. Greg Moss of APD's Missing Persons Unit said.

Austin Police Department’s (APD’s) Missing Persons Unit is investigating, but at this time detectives do not suspect foul play. "You have the right to voluntarily withdraw your contact with friends and family members," Sgt. Moss said.

Apr 28 (Julie missing 34 days)
Detective Scott does want everyone to know that there is some, quote, "some indication" that Julie may have wanted to withdraw contact (speculation this was based on text messages and myspace posts sent from her iPhone and what her estranged husband said), and also that there is no foul play suspected in this particular case at this time. Car has not been fingerprinted because there is not foul play, and they need to focus their resources into tracking down those particular leads.

Detective Scott said he does not have the ability at this time to check cell phone because of the foul play issue to be able to move forward with those particular search warrants to be able to track her cell phone. Because if she wanted to go missing, she does have a right to do that.

Apr 29 (Julie missing 35 days)
According to Julie’s mother on JVM, the APD called her and told her that Julie was now considered missing, endangered and high priority.

When contacted by reporter Michelle Sigona, Detective Scott said he was not allowed to comment on whether this case been elevated to an endangered missing persons case as a high priority case or not, without the permission of his public information office. The public information office said the commander would not give him permission right now, because it is now a national story.

Apr 30 (Julie missing 36 days)
According to the Austin Police Department's spokeswoman Anna Sabana, the case is still open and being investigated. Unfortunately, she also asserts that there is no physical evidence to indicate that Gonzalez was a victim of foul play, and without probable cause, police cannot search her abandoned car or look at her phone records.

I have auto-login set on my AOL account so if I were to have my laptop stolen anyone could get on & send emails using my screen name & also access all my private info I have saved on AOL vs PC..AOL doesn't suggest saving this kind of info (includes passwords to bank accounts) on the PC for this very reason but if I'm using auto-login option it=the same thing..IOW!..I've known all along it's looking for trouble but I've been too lazy to log on with my password but I'm going to change that ASAP.

I'm very :waitasec: about the friend who claims Julie sent her a text re: new guy..I've read she called her mom to tell her & also that mom said she "hung her head down" during the convo..So, which is it?

I suppose it's possible Julie's CC was found (after it was dumped) & this mystery woman used it at BB..But why only use it 1x?

I don't believe Julie would leave the baby's medicine in her car IF she planned on not taking the baby with her..Do we know what the meds were for?

JVM probably didn't hear "DEAD" uncle (with so many talking) or she would've questioned it..Does she really have a "DEAD" uncle & how many ppl would know that? I'm sure G does.

This was the first time Julie went alone during the baby exchange & now she's missing..It doesn't take a genuis.

What kind of meds did G almost commit suicide on & is he an active user?

So many Q's but in this case it's so obvious 2&2=4..LE def needs to step it UP! but sadly it's most likely way too late for Julie but not for G to get what's coming to him! :banghead:

She told everybody in the family what was going on with George. He would leave her messages on her windshield, little notes here and there. He would follow her. Things like that. And she told us everything.”

TY! very much for ALL this info..I missed so much & it explains a lot! Except for all the weird 'dead uncle' stuff obviously done by George..He either didn't care it pointed directly at him OR he just didn't get it? If that's it then he's def out of touch with reality & I'm even more scared now for that little baby girl..I lost all hope for Julie, I'm afraid to say, when this story first broke

If something bad happened to Julie, IMO it happened before Friday afternoon at 12:43PM. I’d like to know when the last confirmed sighting of Julie was, other than George saying he saw her that Friday morning.

COOPER (Julie’s aunt): Well, Julie is always logged in mobile, onto MySpace and onto Facebook. So anyone could have posted those messages. I could have posted those messages. But Wednesday before she disappeared, she was saying, "I`m ready to pick up my Layla. I miss her so much." And then the next one is just Friday at 12:43 p.m.; states, "I`m running away."

We don’t have the specific dates/times of the text messages sent to the two friends re "James the Web designer," who was supposedly taking her away for the weekend to “show her a good time.” Speculation that the last post to Julie’s Myspace from mobile may have been early Sunday, Mar 28 at 2:40AM: “Just wanted to say im ok and that people shouldnt worry about me and to stop bothering me i want to enjoy my time.” This was the same day her aunt found her car in the Walgreen’s parking lot (keys and purse were not in the car).

So texts and posts could have been made from her iPhone during the period of Mar 26-28, then her iPhone and purse dumped somewhere after that.

A few days ago I tried to listen to KVET's .mp3's of Acevedo from when he was on the Bucky & Bob show on Apr. 28th...I wanted to hear again how he responded.

Just want to mention that George said he has a computer and an iPhone. Someone posted a bunch of his Facebook comments on the JVM Facebook site (not sure if removed – I’m looking at a cached version). They show he posted to Facebook while at work as a security guard. Seems the posts from work are not tagged, and others are tagged with “via Facebook for iPhone” and “via Xbox LIVE.” Not that this necessarily means anything; I just noted that he’s knowledgeable about computers/iPhones.
