I think FW Cat would know but not sure if anyone else here is privy to that information. No idea. I was hoping someone here might know.

Hi - Can I ask who identified it? Source? One of the vehicles in the lake has been identified as a ‘63 Chevy Impala.

Via Marple it was posted on the FB page.Hi - Can I ask who identified it? Source?
So that everyone here knows. All evidence in my possession has been turned over to LE. I have spent hours with our newest detective - Jeremy Rhoden's replacement. I have a good feeling about this person. If the department gives her time, and resources to do her job - she will get it done. Praying for Detective Wagner. Every day.No. If I start over; I'll take a more direct approach. I'll ask for a face-to-face meeting and dump everything on a conference table. I don't know how much more of this freak-show I can take. I'm so tired. It's like that movie "Groundhog Day" only worse.
Ironically, the very make, model, and year of the car my husband and I shared when we married in September 1972.One of the vehicles in the lake has been identified as a ‘63 Chevy Impala.
Well done! I am happy for you. It must be a big relief. I hope with the recent publicity, the detective will be prioritised to this job.So that everyone here knows. I can tell you about the 2nd car. It was actually the 1st one found in 2014. I named it "the upside down car." It's tucked up inside a narrow slough. grassy and icky. The good news is this; it is in shallow water (maximum 22ft.) The bad news is this; it is submerged to the door handles in mud. It should be the easiest one to ID. It will also be the most difficult to "bring up", let alone recover physical evidence from. Hopeless in any case - we need to know what it is and who it belongs to.that must be a popular car back then.
If they find a car from the mid 70s onwards, you know it has nothing to do with this case.
Nothing has been said about the 2nd car that is identified (last time I checked the FB group).
Thanks. Any guess about its age? And the 3rd?I can tell you about the 2nd car. It was actually the 1st one found in 2014. I named it "the upside down car." They are "in range" if they are make/model earlier than 12/23/1974. According to the diver that mapped the cars (GPS) ALL 3 are "in range." The information needed can be obtained where they lie. Operation "Bring'em Up" is a pathetic waste of resources [money], gruesome, cruel, unwanted, and unnecessary IMO.Thanks. Any guess about its age? And the 3rd?
If they are "out of range", I can't see why they would need to be brought up for this operation. JMO
I give credit for my continued open door with LE to the fact that I contribute and expect nothing. If what I have done brings results, I expect to learn it on the 10 o'clock news like everyone else. I don't need or want a parade. I want the suffering to end. This side of heaven that is the best outcome. To replace suffering with pain probably seems like a pitiful goal. Over time you adjust what you hope for. Hope must live for those who suffer.Well done! I am happy for you. It must be a big relief. Did she give any indication of progress in investigation, since the last public communication?

Imho it is Rachel's handwriting, under duress.I'm not crucifying the department, just saying he was out of line stating the handwriting was a match. It forced the department to walk back his words years later. Mistakes happen and he made one. It was far from the only one FWPD made in those early days.
Bottom line is the results of the handwriting analysis were inconclusive.
I do assume the handwriting resembled Rachel's at the very least, but that's just an inference on my part given the circumstances. I also believe the hand writing is female, but that's based on my own observation.
It's going to be a 3 ring circus. Not only some local news media but someone is doing a documentary.I wanna drive down & watch the vehicle recoveries, but I think FW_Cat is probably correct...It's gonna take longer than people think. I'm curious what model car it is that's suspected of being down there.
