I
Ambers mom
I was admiring the courage of Amber's mother in braving the public to push for the Amber Alert. I didn't mean to cause confusion with the initials but hated to use her name.

Is TT and DH, the only involved parties that were adults at the time of the abduction - that are still alive ?
Any more nuclear family memebers that were adult at that time alive ?

I don't believe that TT was involved at all, and if D would be open and honest it would be over in my opinion. But who knows?

Renee's father and Rachel's mother are alive.

I wonder what Mr. Wilson has to say? And does Fran keep in touch with him?

I suspect Tom would have beenPD’s primary suspect and I am sure they put him through the ringer .
Probably why he had to get out of there .

TT would have been named as a suspect I would think, if there wasn't some reason to look another direction, especially given the letter and his kind of odd behavior. Who did write the letter? It leads one to think R was at the center of it.

I can think of such scenarios where D'd face a moral dilemma airing what might be her own well grounded suspicions, risking upheaving other lives if not her own.

Or not.

Could be something totally out there involving one of the others. Maybe the letter was to redirect suspicion. Again no background on much.

Just three young girls with cute pictures and a very general scenario. They must have lived in a convent for all we know (exaggeration of course).

This case is so sad and tragic. I hope the girls get the justice they deserve. I’ve always held out hope that maybe they survived their abductions. Now I think that they likely died at the hands of a horrible person who should serve the rest of their life in prison! Come him soon FW trio.

JMO...

Having never been in those shoes, I have no clue what would be odd. I do think that whatever helps you put one foot in front of the other is normal.

Armed Forces or not he was just a kid. He'd lost both parents then his wife. Surprised he didn't leave sooner myself.

I’ve always considered Lloyd Welch in this case. He was charged with the murders of the Lyon sisters a year ago. He was in TX when the girls vanished. Was he ever disproven as being involved in their disappearances?

Welch was known to be in Austin,Texas in January 1974. His next known place is in Maryland in March or April 1975.( I cannot remember which)..... It looks like no one knows for sure where he was in between. He did have a long time girlfriend in that time period that worked as a Security Guard in Austin.

In my opinion there will be punishment for the guilty and all their conections if they never repented before death. (Or also in the future.)
Just imagine the guilt they face reading these pages. Having friends/family beside them and never knowing who knows what and what is actually known. Waiting for that knock at home or at their work. The Sheriff or Police looking at them strangly! " Hell is not half full yet." I feel something is about to crumble in some lives.

It's tempting to think serial killer, except I keep coming back to the letter. Why the letter? But it could've been someone like Welch or Debardeleben, taking some twisted pleasure in creating a smokescreen to extend his activities without pursuit.

True. He could have been feeling like a pariah since he didn't have a lot of family with his folks deceased, and three families looking at him wondering if he was the reason their girls were gone.

Could've been what drove him from the house and secure set up his parents tried to leave him. If innocent poor guy got a bad rap in life, and since he's never been named as a suspect I think he should be given the presumption of innocence.
