Friday, March 31st:
*Announcement Hearing (Jame only) – (@ 0am CT) - TX - JeB (6) & JesB (9), abducted by Jame Burns their paternal grandmother in 2009 Black Ford Escape SUV, McKinney on Jan. 19, 2023. An Amber Alert issued are believed “to be in grave or immediate danger". The reason LE believe the girls to be in danger is due to her earlier meth-related arrest. Girls were found Jan. 22, 2023 & are safe. *Jame Lynn Burns aka Jame Lynn Roth & Jani L Roth (60) arrested & charged (1/22/23) & arraigned (1/23/23) with 2 felony counts of kidnapping in addition to previous charges of child abandon/endangerment criminal negligence, possession of a controlled substance & unauthorized use of vehicle. Bond $33K for endangerment & $200K for kidnapping.
*Justin Lee Burns (34) “father” arrested & charged (1/21/23) with 2 felony counts of kidnapping. Bond $100K. Waiting for indictment.
Jame is the paternal grandmother. Apparently during CPS supervised visit with the Dad they were abducted. They were last seen during a Child Protective Services-supervised visit Thursday, 1/18/23 evening shortly before 6pm.
1/21/23: LE has arrested the father, Justin Burns on kidnapping charges. Mother of the girls is deceased. Jame Burns was free on bonds totaling $3K from Collin County after being accused in 2021 of criminal negligence, abandoning/endangering a child & possession of a controlled substance of less than one gram. She was scheduled to appear Friday, Jan. 20, 2003 for a plea deal on the child endangerment case but did not show up, officials said.
1/22/23 Update: McKinney Police said Sunday night that the girls had been located & their grandmother was in custody. Jame Burns was arrested in Richardson Sunday & now faces two felony counts of kidnapping in addition to previous charges of child endangerment & possession of a controlled substance. Jame Burns is being held on bonds totaling $33,000, though her bail amount on the kidnapping charges has not yet been set. It's also not immediately clear if she has obtained an attorney.
1/23/23 Update: Jame Burns was arraigned on Monday 1/23/23 at the Collin County jail. Waiting for indictment for Justin.
1/23/23 Update: Jame: 1/20/23 for her other case failure to appear for court hearing. Bond forfeiture. New bond set at $3K. First appearance on 3/3/23 was cancelled from 2/3/23. Next announcement hearing on 3/31/23 @ 9am.
