TX TX - Karl Van Roon, 41, was at a small farm in TX, avid hitchhiker, wanted to hitchhike to NM, spent many years in the Yukon, Canada, 2022

Heidi and Terry Van Roon haven't seen their son in two years.

The couple said their son Karl, 41, was last seen was in Texas, in 2022, with plans to hitchhike New Mexico.

"The last we heard from him [he was at] a small farm in Texas," Terry said.

This is the first time I'm hearing about this case. Karl is not listed in NamUS. Did he have a permanent residence in TX or was he visiting from the Yukon? What did he do for a living?

This is kind of odd. I'm not 100% sure, but if you do a Facebook search there's a FB which may be him, with a post from 6/7/2024. Did he stop talking to his parents and is not actually missing?

Agreed there are a lot of recent posts, unless someone created a new fb and is pretending to be him. There are a lot of crazies in the world. But a lot of throwback photos, so weird.
