I'm glad she has finally been found. I can't believe he has the nerve to ask for a "fair" sentence. There is nothing fair about what he did to her. :furious:

The remains police found Thursday in a Lewisville field have been positively identified as a Coppell woman who has been missing since April, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office said.


On April 16, Kathleen Garza, 49, never returned from a trip to the Market Street Shopping Center on North Denton Tap Road in Coppell, her family said. Her husband said she had gone to meet her friend Leroy Tellgren for coffee on the day that she disappeared.

The 75-year-old man who murdered a former Coppell High School teacher was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison for his crime.

Tellgren admitted at an emotionally-charged court session that he shot and killed Kathleen Garza last April. Her remains were not located until earlier this month, based on information from Tellgren. More at link:

Coppell woman's killer gets 15-year sentence

DENTON — The 75-year-old man who murdered a former Coppell teacher was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison for his crime.

Leroy Tellgren's sentence was part of a plea deal that unfolded at the Denton County Courthouse.
